What might eventually happen is a snowball effect with all states if they see offshore afraid of states

Or they might be trying to play nice to see if they can get into the market legally. If not, back to offshore.

Only thing good that can come out of this is so many books where they have to provide bonuses/promos and reduced juice to stay relevant like offshore. Plus legal poker rooms with shared liquidity.

Otherwise I'd prefer offshore. I don't care about having to pay the taxes as I do that anyways. But if they don't give anyone a chance to beat them. Forget it.

This. Right now the books in Jersey and PA offer 0 incentive to reload accounts. No reload bonuses at all.

I will say that PointsBet is very good. I've gotten about 7-8 times $250-$300 100% freeplays from them.

The other books I've gotten twice a $25 free play on deposit with FanDuel and a $50 one from William Hill.

That is all they have given to me though.

Tough times offshore and US government will kick them harder while they're down. I would say to operators to get out while the getting is good, but it's to late.

As much as I have loved and hyped Bookmaker through the years something is going on over there. A while back they limited there wagering call center hours then they stopped taking if win wagers over the phone completely. At night there are times when there is literally no one there grading wagers and you can’t add an if/win on the the wager. John, who was the best csr supervisor I have ever dealt with gets moved out of VIP then they do away with VIP altogether. I no longer play there.

Are not offshore books not subject to US federal (or state) regulation?

No. They gave me a standard cut and paste line how they have merged vip service to regular csr to provide "the best possible service" or something line close to it. A total bs line.

Their limits are the best in the business. That's what kept me there. They are just cutting corners all over the place.

and with such big limits it's ridiculous to have no one grading the game and you can't attach an if win to it afterwards either by calling or online.

The promos are usually on games. They offer a lot of refund deals on parlays if you get 3 of 4 right. They also do a lot of promos where they give you a site credit if you bet a specific bet (i.e. $5 for every US Woman's goal if you bet $25 on a correct score bet on the game they scored 13. or $5 for every run scored if you bet $25 on the ML in the London Series NYY/BOS, they payed out max bonus on that 3 of 4 sides in the series).

I actually just looked recently at my site credit e-mails, I'm up $300-400 in site credits alone just for doing their bonus offers. They also refunded my bets on Lakers on Xmas when Lebron got hurt and when Zion blew out his shoe vs. UNC.

I've also deposited and withdrew in the same day on a reload bonus and collected the 50% deposit bonus and my money was in the acct for a total of 5 minutes.

And to touch on another point in this thread... you are only legally obligated to pay taxes on winnings with your online account and on wins over $600. At the window, winnings lower than that, its on you to remember and pay in April.... So.....

Pointsbet announced a big loss for the last year up to June 30 this week. Sahre price dropped 25cents to AU$3.00

Thinking it might be a good time to load up on them.

They look like they have more clue than some of the UK operators about what Americans want.

Trump will give amnesty and tax incentives to the Americans operating offshore books to bring the money home and invest in US based sportsbooks. Offshore is on the oxygen mask gasping for air.

Yeah this isn’t true. So honestly I think they kicked you out of vip. This can happen for a wide range of reasons. I had a buddy get a little attitude once and they moved him out of it and then gave him a response that vip wasn’t around anymore when he asked to be transferred to them the next day

Also people think one state puts the offshore books out of business. Didn’t people say this when the us starting blocking ip addresses? Or what about when people couldn’t deposit? Everytime these books pivot and stay around. Some people on here just think businesses that crank out the kind of money they do will just give up. It’s just stupid ignorant thinking. Maybe the little shops will cave but they are shit anyway.
Without all 50 states doing mobile betting there’s a market for offshore books. I’m not driving everyday to a casino to bet overjuiced lines like many others
