WHICH POSTERS GAMBLE FULL TIME *CHIME IN* I did 8 YEARS AGO FOR 1 YEAR

I am lucky enough that I have 2 business that basically run themselves

so about 8 years ago I went full time into sports gambling with 50k bank at my peak I was at 160k but at end of my first year won $36k

the biggest problem I had was I went on a amazing 4 month winning run and thought I was better than I really was

also the boredom got to me so started to make LARGER SIZE BETS

p.s also because of free time I had started drinking more as well

    whats your story??

I am back working and liking it

2016 absolutely murdered it. Do not feel comfortable posting the amount as it was well above my means. 2017 was up about 30k middle of the year then last 4 months of 2017 I got absolutely annihilated. And when it got under 10 I went to punching a time clock. I started out relatively small tho. Initial roll in 2016 was like 1500 bucks.

Gamble full time? Yes. Gamble full time betting sports? No. It's much easier to turn a profit at poker, so that's what I do.

Rec league always better than the Pro thing
    More fun
    Less stress
Not saying that Rec Leaguers aren’t important

Gamble year round cause hockey and baseball are the sports I bet most, but not as a full time job. I enjoy working, and I enjoy betting recreationally.

The problem with doing it full time, is that as soon as you find an angle, it eventually disappears. I did well for a few years (never really full-time), but just rec now. I know there are stories about professional gamblers, but very few of them last long, if any. Most of them end up making their money off of their reputations (books,etc.). If there are really any real long term professionals, they probably wouldn't tell you about it. Why would they?

Met lots of guys who do it. Unless there is an edge, always seems like a ridiculous hobby.

Doesn't have to be stressful. Any time I spend on it is pretty relaxing. Put in pretty close to full time hours throughout 2011-12. Half was gambling, half was working for other guys, usually making bets on sports or machines, sometimes spotting blackjack. Earned about as much as a full time minimum wage job, but much more enjoyable. Also had enough time and energy for other ways to make money so I wasn't living anywhere close to poverty.

Since then, I've usually topped out at 20 hours per week combined between sports, machines, and cards; most weeks is less than that. Unless there's full time income, absolutely no reason to ever consider full time hours. But I know there are a lot of people who do it anyways.

If we are here. We all have illusions of winning .....I play horses. Tvg keeps track. I withdrew 4500. I deposited 6500. So I made 2000 in 2018. Lucky I have a day job.

The problem is. How much is enough. It's the creed . That destroys us ...would you be happy winning 100 per day ....my mother always told me. Look at it as a job. With a hourly rate. And Go After that.....If We MADE A 3 Team PArlay. All favorites. Money line. We have a good chance or grinding a minimum. ..but does that do it for us
