as mentioned, i had no idea on the 30 day max tenancy rule (not a law but something i think the hotel industry applies).
basically, after 30 days you are considered a tenant with all those protections (like not paying your rent for awhile. and can't get rid of you easily).......... and of course, liberal states have terrible laws on this, whereas conservative states generally don't.
there's also tax implications for the renter..
i couldn't find out much info on extended stay but i would think even liberal states realize to some extent that they are set up for longer term hotel stays.
