The No way in Hell series is a Decent 7-3-1 last one on the NY Giants was a loss
So here we Go in 2019
OHIO STATE -6
Heres some stuff I have gathered on why.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are in a ‘win one for the gipper’ situation here against Washington in the Rose Bowl. This will be Urban Meyer’s final game at Ohio State, and I expect his players to lay it all on the line for him with what he has been through this season with all of the off-the-field distractions.
Meyer will go down as one of the greatest college football coaches in history. His teams have averaged fewer than two losses per season in his career. And he did a great job guiding the Buckeyes to a 12-1 season this year despite all the distractions. Meyer is 11-3 in bowl games, 82-9 at Ohio State, including 7-0 against Michigan. The guy is a legend.
The Buckeyes saved their best football for last as they were trying to make the four-team playoff. They beat Michigan 62-39 in the season finale in one of the most impressive performances of any team in the country. And then they handled their business in a 45-24 win over Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship in which they racked up 607 total yards against a very good NW defense.
Washington has been overrated all season. They went 10-3 SU but just 4-9 ATS. It seems like every time they stepped up on class they lost. Their season opening loss to Auburn looks really bad now, and they also lost on the road to both Cal and Oregon. Their offense just isn’t explosive enough to hang with the Buckeyes. They scored 28 or fewer points in nine of their 13 games this season and averaged just 26.6 points per game on the year.
The Pac-12 was clearly the worst of the Power 5 conferences this season. And it has been the worst for several years, which has shown up in bowl games. Indeed, the Pac-12 is just 6-15 SU & 3-18 ATS in their last 21 bowl games. They are 3-3 this season, but their three wins all came by two points or less with Oregon winning 7-6 over Michigan State, Stanford winning 14-13 over Pitt and Washington State winning 28-26 over Iowa State.
Ohio State is 13-3-1 ATS in its last 17 vs. Pac-12 opponents. The Buckeyes are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games. Meyer is 27-10 ATS when playing with two or more weeks’ rest in all games he has coached.
Good Luck either way
And BTW I'm a Huskie fan
