So, you are laying something like 1000 to win 435? I feel the scientific return would be 506 or so. You know for entertainment - 100 bucks to win 43 - no problem - big bucks - there is no value there.

You mean the team that was lucky to beat a 5-7 USC team who thought that their HC was about to be fired? That Notre Dame? The team that beat a 4-8 Ball State at home by 8 points? The team that beat powerhouses Vandy (6-6) and Pitt (7-6) by 5 points each? The same Pitt team that got it's ass handed to them by Clemson 42-10? That Notre Dame team? JJ, do they pay you a salary for these posts that make you look like the Scarecrow in the Wizzard of Oz. "If I only had a brain."

I didn't realize Ian Book played against Vanderbilt and Ball state.

And if you want to play this game, the same Notre Dame team who absolutely spanked a Syraucuse team who nearly beat Clemson on their home field. And don't give me this "Lawrence got hurt" stuff. They were struggling with him playing as well.

The gut for me is this game will be close. Much like the game a few years ago when people thought Clemson would kill them and the Irish nearly beat them in Death Valley. I do think Clemson wins, but I don't see Notre Dame getting blown out. They've got a strong D and their offense can score when they need to. Smells like a 24-17 game to me, but wouldn't be surprised if the Irish pull off the upset. This is a very, very solid Irish team that can play with anyone.

To me, Bama is one of the easiest bets of the bowl season. Tell me how in the world Oklahoma's defense is going to slow down Alabama? They couldn't slow down Baylor or Texas Tech! I think OU will score some points, but the Tide's defense will also shut them down on drives. Alabama wins 55-24, IMO. OU just doesn't have the defense and Tua will have some fire in the belly for losing the Heisman. The Bama offense will throw and run all over that weak OU defense.

No they won't. Oklahoma's defense is garbage. Absolute garbage. They weren't this bad on D last year. Bama's offense will have a field day with them. Bama wins very big.

Just calling it like I see it. I've watched this Oklahoma team a lot this year. Their defense is so horrible. And I just don't know how they're gonna stop a Bama offense that can put up 50 by just snapping their fingers against an average defense.

I think that Alabama and Clemson will win, although I also think the betting lines (11 for Clemson and 14 for Bama) are too high.

I really don't think the risk is worth the return on this parlay. Alabama is -600 on their moneyline and Clemson is .-500. Thus it isn't worth it to take this parlay unless you think this title game has at least a 5/7 chance of happening.

ND didn't almost lose to USC. They were playing prevent defense at the end of the game, and gave up a TD with about 30 seconds left. That cut the final margin from 14 to 7, and resulted in me losing the bet, which was ND -12.5.

ND isn’t a top 5 team. Easiest draw by far. I wish bama got to play ND instead, much more likely upset although bet should hit

I heard this last year too. “OU gave up a ton of points to Baylor and K-State and they lost to Iowa State at home.” Georgia will kill them 50-20.

Georgia won and covered but that game was a coin flip that OU led for the majority of the game. OU put up 31 in the first half against a defense that had only allowed over 20 points twice all year.

OU’s defense isn’t any good but OU will be comfortable in a shootout. Will Bama? This OU offense is actually better than last years.

I’m not calling for an OU win but people think Bama is going to hold OU to 24 points when in reality OU cold have 24 at halftime.

OU will get in the mid 30s and possibly lower 40s so Bama is going to need to score over 55 to cover. It’s possible but I don’t think it’s likely.

OU should be the dog but they are capable of winning. All it takes is a few turnovers, a special teams play here or here...Bama could find them self down two scores playing catch up. That game favors OU.

Now the flip side could occur too. If Bama gets up and just starts running it down Ou’s Throat controlling clock, it will be hard for OU to come back because they can’t stop anything.
