Not really. 90% of people will lose and feed the books if they always bet the same amount of money for every game.
Probably closer to 95%. You need to mix up your bet sizes.

It's best to keep that risk flat and not bet "to win" as that will change the breakeven, usually not for the best.

You can take a bankroll from $1K to $100K and you only need to change your bet size a dozen times, any more could be costly.

Playing with partial Kelly is dangerous for most bettors, especially if they are betting prices or moneylines outside of -115 or so.

Keeping the vig low and prices close to even money are probably the best way to go if you are partially staking.

200 bucks is what I got left to play with. If I win 200 I pay for shit, and I don't let it ride till I lose. You do that, and theirs no point in betting, because you will eventually give it all back, very quickly if you let it ride.
