Is sports betting worth it? Can it make you rich?

If you take for example Daily25.com - this Aussie guy has been betting for 3,073 days so far (almost 8.5 years), and managed to make (according to his unproven claim) - a daily profit of $135 AUD ($99 USD per day).

His website for 8+ years says "Follow my adventures as I try and make $250 a day from Sports betting", but he never reached $250 AUD with his sports betting.

Now, I am not saying $3,000/month is bad, but if he had invested his money in one single piece of real estate 8 years ago - he would have made much more than $3k/month and also would have had a higher equity as the real estate price would have gone up in value.

Not only that, but he also mentioned in his blog that he sometimes had too much pressure from doing this, and he is selling his picks, which definitely seems like a better source of income than relying on picks to make money.

    So here you go,

Making money from sports betting in the very long term (8+ years) is possible, but is it worth all the mindset effects, pressure, and side effects that come from it?

Wouldn't it be better to simply invest in real estate, pay your debt to cover the RE price and then make money from renting it out?

Sports betting requires a few things to do it to make real money
assume 1% edge overall so you need
say you want to make $200 a day you need $20,000 grand bet a day assume you can do say 20 bets a day that is $1000 per bet which in theory means you need a bankroll of $100,000 to get started to make $200 per day.

so now you need $100,000 reserves, 20 1% edge bets a day, and enough places that are willing to take your bets and give you a free 1% because they are nice. all this to make $200 a day

It's possible to get rich in the short run on a nice parlay or going on a heater. In the long run under 1% (that might be generous) can stay disciplined enough and make a profit on a yearly basis. Even the best cappers go on cold streaks. If you had to rely on gambling as your sole income the stress would be nauseating. I'm in commercial real estate and the statement why not just invest in real estate instead is kind of funny. Most don't have enough money to put down enough or get the financing / how do you know it will be a good investment in 8 years? How do you know you will consistently have your property leased out and not just be sitting on a vacant property that you are losing money on? Lots of variables. Though if you can i'd recommend investing in some net lease properties and just sitting back and relaxing. No headache just get your check on the 1st of every month with no management required.

Low volume of games. Pick small favorites and plus juice dogs. Use extreme discipline in your money management.

I personally use Sportsbettorswin to ad in my betting. Sports services are for everyone but they work for me.

You can make money long term.

    Good luck.

It’s for entertainment, shouldn’t be any more of your budget than that. Sometimes I get extra money to spend on things cause of it, other times I gotta stay home cause I spent my allotted entertainment monies on it. No biggie. If you doing it cause you think it gonna make ya rich you have a unpleasant awakening coming!!

Use your knowledge of sports betting to also play fantasy sports. Tonite I had nfl Philly -6. Then on Draftkings I played their nfl showdown. I focused on Philly. (Wentz as my captain 1.5*, their kicker, and their defense) Out of 95k peeps I placed 1200. Which is a payback of 5x plus original card price, in nhl, I also played Draftkings showdown and out of 495 peeps I placed 10th which is a 6x payback plus price of card. On that one I focused on Dallas and had their winning keeper. Two of my players also scored a goal each,. ((So in a 4-1 game, 2 goals and a winning keeper can place you top 10, 6* winnings + card payback. I hope this helps a bit. It will take you several years to get better at fantasy, but that's what we are here for anyway.

I totally agree with you, the house always wins, and Tommie here said he makes money from it, just wondering if what he says has any sense of credibility.

lol at buying picks. Good penetrating joke, clockwise.

~$100 a day after 8 years of trying to win... yikes. Better than losing money, I suppose.

About +$8,000 on account betting since start of baseball 2017 on about 1/4 million in action. Mostly $25 to $50 correlated parlays or $100 to $300 straight. Over the counter is about +$3000 in 2018, on a lot less action. Mostly $100 round-robin parlays at both reduced juice and off-market price (the $100 is the limit before needing a supervisor to review).

Betting parlays there are plenty of losing months
