    If you’re a laker fan, this is where he probably ends up (I think wolves are being patient waiting for LeBron to get frustrated with young guys and get magic to send one to Minnesota) but you don’t want this to happen. It’ll waste the LeBron years or be a wasted rental.


    Butler is resting back to backs early to not get injured for possible trade and becaye he didn’t have a training camp. He’s still on the wolves

    An aging player taking a lot of falls, with nagging career injuries, who’s either going to be a rental or going to have to give him the max (in the nba with terrible cap structure) where you’re paying him into his mid 30s 40 mil a year. With the warriors a lock for this year, taking a rental doesn’t make a lot of sense, and the other alternative kills your future.

    Now add that he’s quitting on his team, and causing a circus as a B+ player, hard pass unless you’re a team in a market that has trouble attracting free agents

    Lakers have to make a move of some sort, otherwise it will be a wasted year for James. The idea of Butler being a rental in LA is laughable -that's precisely where he wants to be. He will take less than the max because he wants to win.

    I think the Lakers overvalue Ingram, and should part with him. I've disliked him since I saw him play his first SL game. Only good thing he's done in his career to date is have 1 or 2 good games against Durant -granted a good player to play well against...

    really admire how Jimmy overcame a TON of adversity and came into the league as an afterthought and worked hard to better his game. what an over achiever, got to root for him.

    BUT man, the stories you heard about Jimmy here in Chicago were nuts, guy is a top 10 all time locker rooom/clubhouse cancer in all sports. in chicago terms its Milton Bradley+Brandon Marshall personality issues

    I have no issues with Bulter demanding a trade. This has everything to do with Towns and Wiggins not stepping up and being better on defense and serious about winning a championship. When Butler doesn't play their defense is non-existent.

    Rental OR worse the alternative I laid out. Never claimed he was a rental for LA, saying that's 1 of 2 bad options.

    Regardless, unless they get butler and one more guy this is a wasted year for bron. They aren't beating golden state. Could almost argue from an analytical standpoint not putting the pointless miles of a deep playoff run this season on his legs might help in a couple years when warriors break up

    You'd have to be a Warriors' fan to believe they're going to keep that core intact. Why do you think Cousins signed there at a discount? He knows there's a fair chance Durant or Thompson will leave for LA or elsewhere, and he will slot into the cap space.

    They will let Draymond walk before Klay. Shooters age well. Draymond is valuable but with defense being abolished by the league, he isn’t a must have.
