Deshaun Watson Has Quickly Become The New RGIII

Last year, he was about the best player in the league until he got hurt. This year he belongs on some team's practice squad.

He hurt his knee last year, but it appears there's something wrong with his arm.

Short shelf life in the NFL.

    ???

Besides the INTs and TDs, his numbers are virtually the same as last year.

Too early to say. Wentz didn't look that great today either.

    Nor did Andrew Luck.

Let's reconvene on this thread at the halfway point of the season.

Maholmes isn't a rookie. He's in a good system, he'll be a star for many years to come.

Not his fault the o line is dreadful and the defense is overrated (I think, maybe people recognize it sucks now.)

finished 24/40 385 yds 2 td 1 int, didnt watch much but when I tuned in a few times was having to get rid of it quick, offensive line is not good and if eli is 25-29 that tells you texans defense is trash or at least was today, its a wonder they only lost by 5.

in the NFL you need to use your legs to buy time to throw if you use your legs to run teams can coordinate that up. a spy kills almost all of these guys that scramble and they get D coorded to get killed. They are good just long enough to give d Coords time to shut them down once the puzzle is unlocked game over for that scrambler. Color does not mean shit, just happens to be that most black QBS are coached to use their legs at a young age and becomes natural after so many youth years running and then throwing where most white guys did not have that speed or the moves and just got taught to throw first throw second throw away third time and if all else fails run and slide. Guys like D Watson honeymoon fold, rg3 honeymoon fold, list goes on and on. it is easier to D coord a running qb then it is to d coord rivers or brees or brady. Mahomes honeymoon and he looks legit but I think once some of that gets d coorded up he is normal at best, Reid helps his chances but reality they will adjust, just like the markets adjust to us.

but in reality, no running QB black or white has done well in the league long term and the couple exceptions were white and black. Color does not choose good QBs

with that argument you would say Warren Moon does not have a chance just cause he is black and that to me sounds like good ol fashion IGNORANCE.

Elway is a good example of this adjustment, look at his career track, he started out running and ended up throwing into the HOF

watson isnt a running qb.. if you look at the qbs that ever try to run they run sometimes simply because they can, because they have more speed than the average slow qb, even the white ones. the white ones who actually can run will run. the qbs who know they are slow dont try to run because no matter how big the hole looks they know by the time they take off its gone so there's no use trying. if brady had speed he'd run for 1st downs more when nobody is open. luck runs sometimes because he can, when brees was more mobile he'd run some, wentz does too, those guys arnt your average slow qb.

    Lol,you're joking right"????????

Tim Tebow was a god awful QB from every angle and was out of the league within a year or two, so he wasn't even a good enough "running QB" to stay in the NFL..........

Steve Young is one of the best QB's in NFL history, so you're saying white running QB's are much better, complete QB's than black ones...

He definitely was a lame duck runner who stayed in the NFL because of his arms and definitely not his rubber made legs.........

Oh,did I mention he won a Superbowl as well...?
    You still wanna use him?

Doug Flutie was very small,5'10" 180lbs soaking wet and his pro football career lasted until he 43years old!!...................

really have no idea how he will do vs Colts... can he stay patient and hit the underneath stuff and move the chains slowly or try to bomb it deep and watch out for Hooker & co to get a pick or 2

steve young is 3rd all time rushing qb and he sat for years behind montana. randall cunningham is above him and was a good qb as well. basically if you have balance you can do both. Cam has carried carolina offensively since he came in the league. when panthers defense is going and cam at the same time, tough to beat.

Jake Locker, Cade McNown, Bobby Douglass, Tarkenton. 2 of the top 3 all time in ypc are white QBs Douglass and Bortles.

Bunch of idiots talking about his stats. They fell behind, he threw the ball alot Of course he has lots of yards. Who cares if he put up lots of yards. Mostly meaningless yards. Especially late in the game. It is like saying a team gives up 300 yards passing every game so they must suck against the pass. Yet, every game they take a big lead. So of course teams are going to have to pass alot against them. Misleading stat. He didn't play good. Their defense was worse. But he ate ass. Because he is ass He is nothing more than school yard football. Once you know what you are dealing with you game plan for him and he is done. He isn't good, accurate and smart enough to evolve with defenses
