West Virginia gaming officials are now aiming to have sports betting regulations finalized by the end of June.

In March 2018, the West Virginia legislature passed a new sports betting bill. The West Virginia Lottery Commission would oversee regulating under the new law. The law includes a provision to allow for both in-person and online sports wagering within the state. In early May 2018, various interested parties took part in a behind-closed-doors meeting to discuss certain aspects of the recently-enacted law.
