Fed fan, but I think Joker is the best of all time now. Federer could re-take the GOAT status for now if he wins Wimbledon. Nadal clearly #3 imo.

IMO Federer pulled out at RG when he saw Joker and Nadal play. Injuries maybe but much more doubt in his mind than he would like to admit.

Fed is full of doubt these days and I dont think he wins Wimbledon....ever again...

If he watched Joker/Nadal and Joker/Tsitsi recently he probably doesnt have any fingernails left.

2021 French Open and 2019 Wimbledon probably the most important titles for Djokovic in the GOAT race. Otherwise Djokovic would have 17 or 18 now and Fed/Nadal 21. Also there was no Wimbledon last year which most likely would of been another title for Djokovic and the US open ball girl accident stole one from Djokovic as well.

Wimbledon I forsee Novak Nadal and Federer all going after it hard. This might be the best major in years.

I hope roger goes all in. One more run

him losing 2 championship points on serve and letting joker come back and win was so heart breaking. Redemption would be amazing. He would probably retire right after

Wimbeldon is the one tournament where I feel someone can come out of nowhere and compete. Obviously big 3 are the favs, but on the grass, if you have a booming serve and you're good at the net, you will compete.

We were fortunate to be able to see the big 3 hit their apex mountains live, people will look back in amazement at it

That's about right. His 2008 triumph was one to admire but his 2010 one was relying on a bit of the draw to open up. He can still do it, if the draw opens up. His last final was 2011. But in the past at times I think his Wimbledon results have suffered due to him going all out on clay and in Paris.
He also hates playing tall or big servers and on grass and losses against Kyrgios, Dustin Brown, Rosol, Muller show this.
Age and time not as much on his side as it used to be and normally he's on grass days after winning the French.

Rafael Nadal withdraws from Wimbledon and Toyko Olympics.

    https://www.atptour.com/en/news/nada...ithdrawal-2021

Citing needing rest. Not really surprising considering he's taken long breaks from the tour before.

Probably not a bad idea with a higher chance of winning the US Open. He's already won a Gold Medal in Singles and Doubles, and another Wimbledon isn't a high priority considering how hard it is for him to make it deep only to have to play Novak or Federer. SF the last two years but no QF appearances in six years after making the Final in 2011.

Rest up, and launch an assault on a potential Novak Grand Slam if it gets to that...

At this point, it's safe to assume both Nadal and Fed are just dodging Djokovic to preserve somewhat decent h2h.

i don't think so. i think they are trying to do "load management" NBA players the L10Y which used to work well in that league but has not worked well the last few years.

Fed is almost 6Y older than Joker and Rafa is only 1Y older than Joker but has logged more miles as he really came on the scene big time in 2005 and for joker it was more like 2007/2008.

it's mileage, and they are trying to manage it so they can be fresh for the various seasons (clay, grass, hardcourt)
