    Knicks Future Over..Star Bad Injury

How big a blow did Kristaps Porzingis' future take when he suffered a torn ACL on Tuesday?

The injury, which occurred when Porzingis landed on Giannis Antetokounmpo's ankle after dunking, looked bad from the start. A little later, the New York Knicks delivered the devastating news: An MRI had confirmed a torn left ACL. His season is undoubtedly over.

The focus now turns to Porzingis' recovery from the injury and his long-term future. What can we expect, and how does it affect New York's rebuild?

    Not a big deal
Knicks are a lottery team for the next two years, minimum

They never had a chance, not enough pieces to make a real run.

May help long-term. They weren't going to do anything this year and now they'll most likely get a higher pick.

    That was their rebuilding ticket.

How many picks would Cleve have given for him?

Should have sat him till deadline.

Great news for Knicks fans. You only need look at the Sixers to see the benefit of young stars missing time with injuries. By the time he's fully back they will have two more lottery picks, and Ntilikina should be decent.

Just been reported they've traded "Billy". Stupid... Perfect fit next to KP, and younger than Kanter. They'll get a pick I assume.

Imagine a young core of KP, "Billy", Hardaway, Frankie, and two lottery picks two years from now. That would have been promising.

so sad that the mecca of basketball can't do anything right it seems, embarrassing for the city and the fans, they may never win another title who in their right mind would want to play for this franchise

Too much weight lifting and not enough strength in the support muscles and tendons.
