    Would have been dumb to spike it since it was 3rd down, he wasted 4 or 5 seconds directing people at the line instead of hiking the ball. Should have done a fade anything but throw in traffic.

    totally agree....

    even that lame color guy was all over this sentiment....

    but spikin' means one down to kick the fg and send it to overtime; no problem takin a shot, just not the slant shot.... fade and kick the fg if u don't connect was the obvious call....
