touts who get kickbacks from books and the ones who don't - lets make a list/evidence

    hey guys

    https://deadspin.com/how-america-s-f...a-s-1782438574

is the article that spiked my desire to help some of you guys to view the bigger picture of the Service Plays section.
As mostly touts lie about their records, but keeping records of some longterm can land you in profit just like many of this forum fade Brandon Lang

So shall we start a record of touts known to be sportsbooks agents and vise versa - clean boys who win over time( few of those)

Goodfella is the guy in a tale category for me - based on this article a

    Lang is obviously a FADE.

any thoguhts? Please update the whole list as I am too busy to maintain this thread consistently on my own and I am not into tout idea myself, even though I think its one of the best ways to benefit from this forum.

If they post affiliate links to books other than pinnacle, they get a % of client losses. There's not even any incentive for them to be profitable (even if any of them could, and 99.99% of tipsters are just coinflippers and bullshit merchants).

I agree with this post. Also is I good indication on how long a tout takes to make his decision on a side. Probably 2 seconds. Why? What's the point of being right when you get kick backs on client losses.

What a major rip off trusting any of these a$$holes.

trusting those a-holes is off the charts - question is can we determine who to fade?

It's pretty risky to try to fade one because it becomes a coin flip, perhaps they'll have more and longer losing streaks than winning ones, but it will take time to realize that.

I used to get emails all the time from a guy named Jack Jones, from, I think it was something like BetFirms. It would list how he was number 1 in this sport or that and talk about how he's ranked ( I guess with BetFirms) very high among all handicappers for years.

His packages are laid out and the middle of the email would be loaded with affiliate links.

Then he would give a free pick based only on ATS records...lol.

I saw the emails but never looked further. Not sure how I got on the list and emails came daily to my junk mail.

Jack Jones and Betfirms, with all those affiliate links, just might fit for this thread, but as far as following or fading, I don't know.

I know I wouldn't follow, but I never would anyway without discussing methodology with someone first. And I would never pay someone for picks.

But one thing is for sure, that email was loaded with affiliate links and freebies if you follow one and deposit money at the book.

Whoever plugs sportsbooks through affiliate links and banners. Not difficult to spot. Covers has touts and also does affiliate marketing, so there, for one.

They are well aware the majority of people will blow it away on other picks, chasing, in the virtual casino etc.. so it's whatever to them.

Used Tony Cross years ago and he had records of picks on his site. Tracked him for 6 months and he was honest.

Easy to remove a few past losses here and there, and voila, profit.

If they aren't tracked by a valid third party, you should assume it's a scam.

I read Brandon Lang's book. It was pretty much a guide on the power of marketing and salesmanship, nothing to do with gambling really. We know what the oldest profession is... these guys just whoring themselves out for the $. I just ignore, doubt fading is that profitable given that it's just a guy flipping a coin as an earlier poster said.

A few years back, when I was younger and dumber, I was an "exec" client at Northcoast. As you can probably imagine, they never really showed me the way to Easy Street. What made me quit 'em though was that they were consistently touting some sportsbook (Millenial, I think. Not sure they even exist these days) about how they would hold the lines, etc. Didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that these 2 entities were designed to be on opposite sides of the betting window. If they're doing business together, run!

oh man brandon lang is only flipping coin in baseball - other sports - guys who follow him know he picks the teams to lose!
A team has young rookie QB - he takes it as a major 150 dimer play! team has half safeties/lb in injury reserve Lang is picking this team out of all the games that day. NONO LANG PLAYS for the book dude ask around!

Totally agree. Sorry my original post wasn't clear. I was making two points. One Lang is a salesman who is only in it to make him $ not "help you beat the books". My 2nd sentence was a more general point about all touts and that most are just throwing darts with blindfolds on. I think it's tough to tell the difference between two types of scammers to come up with a definitive answer to your question.

totally agree wit hboth statements. I was just trying to pull some poster observations forward into this thread - who knows maybe someone has already discovered another Brandon Lang and we just dont know about it. Most of touts are clueless of the winner and a lot of them I feel like are just trying to balance certain markets for books which are going in one direction.

you are right Rudy! How is the chess going for you?

I am not fading or getting most folks to fade - however I am trying to steer Tout tailers and dudes who cant bet their own anyway into at least somewhat better direction from where they are now. I got nothing to do at work anyway and I have internet access and spare time.

I did a quick lookup on how the best and the worst on that list performed based on posts of their picks at sbr lately
Goodfella hit about 2/3 of his picks - and he would be the only tail based on the above mentioned article.

    O-donnell - is 3-4 november and 3-3 october
Marco as the most posted guy here is 2-4 december

Where it gets really difficult is when someone meticulously and repeatedly lies about their record not to get subscriptions or kickbacks from affiliates but just to look good to a bunch of strangers. Hard to see that one coming

Touts are con artists.. If they are winning in gambling and picking right most of the time no reason to even consider going tout..

It's a big scam... Although some touts can pick em though.. They just don't trust their own picks enough to bet on them themselves, so they pawn them off to sheep whom are willing to pay for them..

Anyone who is willing to buy a pick from someone that doesn't know anything either, is desperate and shouldn't be gambling. The only tout I'd ever buy picks from are people that have fixed the game before it has started. When those guys start a business...let me know.

Where it really gets difficult is when someone loses their own ass tailing at the wrong time and complains about it several months later, when they could be actively looking for employment to to have some real income or finding local GA or IA meetings to overcome their disease.

I said this in another thread.......

There are three types of degenerate gamblers:
1.The normal degenerate and the Successful 1%
2.The belief in the get rich quick schemes degenerate who are dreamers/followers/prey
3.The predatory degenerate that feeds off the number 2 degenerate

Degenerates and the Successful 1% trust one person: the me,myself and I..............

Ignorant naive degenerates are easily influenced, who are "followers" in life
with the hope of hitting it big some day......

The type 3 degenerate sells himself to a large group of "followers" which will quickly
lead to predatorial behavior... for the fact the seller gets nothing in return, for his work
except a thatta boy, you're awesome.......Intent may be lingering.........

The predatory degenerate actually believes he is a great capper,
who envisions/imagines a great number of followers will soon be
following (he the grand wizard) in droves...
For this to happen, the predatory degenerate must have a great run..
Then disappear leaving a trail of clues with passwords on where to find him......

The usual excuse for disappearing is something like this
"I'm so sorry guys but I have been too busy to post lately
    yada yada yada".........

This is where the predatory degenerate crosses the line
because his followers now depend on his plays..
They now believe he is the grand wizard of handicapping..
The predator has captured his prey...........

Get,em while your hot then reality sets in when you have a bad run...
Then the curtain is pulled back and the shadow of the grand wizard is exposed
to a tiny no good POS con man.......

Rinse and repeat with a new identity..........

Well I don’t care if someone is good or bad at picking picks including myself. If something catches my eye that someone posts I’ll tail. If I was thinking about a line and someone else I know really liked more likely I’ll end up taking it. Also sometimes people spot lines that I just didn’t notice. So whether that person is on a losing streak or winning streak I think each person has something to offer.
