Alabama on upset alert at Mississippi State this week

The Tide are yet again the team to beat in college as it stands right now but I really believe Mississippi State have what it takes to get the job done. The Bulldogs have two blowout losses at the hands of Georgia and Auburn but they've matured and should not be taken lightly. Yet again Alabama has a dominant team with big lines on both sides of the ball but they are coming off a very physical game with LSU. LSU was never a threat to win that game but they made Bama work and in the process, they lost some good players on defense to injury.

Dan Mullen has built a strong program down at Miss St. This would be his signature win. As usual, the Bulldogs boast a power running game with a dual-threat QB in Nick Fitzgerald. The Dogs are coming off a lookahead matchup against UMass so they've really had a lot of time to prepare for this game. They'll be ready.

I'm on Mississippi State +13 and ML +400. The upset has a legitimate shot here.

I like Auburn but they're only a 2.5 pt dog. Of course they have a better shot.

not a bad play...alabama's defense is a little banged up as well...they are very thin at linebacker...this game definitely has the recipe for an upset...

Being thin at linebacker wont mean much when you cant get the ball past the 1st level.

Same QB for MSU as last season. He only rushed for 15 yards. Doesn’t have receivers this season either. Bulldogs might stick around early but Bama is too deep and will pull away. Injuries definitely hurt but Holcombe and others have playing time under belts so not worried much.

I can see a close game, as far as the spread is concerned, but I do not see 'Bama in much danger of losing out right.

Not meaning never but like virginia tech that you often back, why bother with taking a team that has a history of failing on the big stage against a powerhouse. Honestly i dont even think the value is that great for what youre going against

Sorry if I laugh for a minute. Bama and Saban has seen this act before. I believe the guy was called Dak. They had a chance against Bama because he was a duel threat. Did he win? No. Fact is look at Miss St and their schedule until this point. They look great against nobody and fake ass ranked teams. I would say the closest thing to Bama would be when Bulldogs played Georgia. Clowned 31-3, shit Aurburn smashed them 49-10. Lets quit pretending this team is something special. Even if it is a home game, Bama defense will maul Miss St. I see this as a route. Against top competition Miss St can't stop a nose bleed. You actually think Miss St can score 30+ on this defense? Come on man. If you bet Miss St moneyline I want some of what you are smoking.

Alabama in a rout in my opinion. However, if Georgia loses earlier in the day, then I will back off this statement.

Bama AND Georgia both roll! There's no stopping this SEC Championship showdown on Dec 2! The only problem will be that this game knocks one of these teams out of the playoff.

Would love to see Bama lose but it's not happening.I would rather say another blowout for Bama which is more likely to happen than them losing.

0% chance of an upset. If we can get into the negative percentages I would do that.

I don’t often back Va Tech. I’ve hit more often than not on their games though.

My mistake then, I just remember us having this same type of conversation about virginia tech in the past. But in fairness to you, alabama really doesnt have to win this game, it basically doesnt matter to them at all. They still make the playoffs easily if they beat auburn and georgia in the sec championship.

Miss St just beat a talented (underachieving) A&M by 21 on the road. Bama beat them by 8. Plus Bama is missing 4 LBs and facing a fired up team with a veteran QB on the road.
