    I should refine my opinion:

    * I DO think his writeups are very detailed. Surely he DOES put some effort into them. I just DON'T think his writeups have any value.

    That's my stance.

For the Record, I'll be rooting for him to have a good stay here. Would love to see the SBR Pros benefit from his info.

His write ups are terrible. The kind of clown who types and says shit to make himself sound smart. Problem is his almost all his info is useless. Only way to play is to maybe use something he says and then fade

Do you believe anything he is putting in his writeups is not already reflected in the line being offered?

The sharp bettor will ALWAYS have the edge over the oddsmaker. On a Saturday with 70 games being played, 140 sides plus totals have to be made, you can be damn sure there are mistakes. So no, it's not always reflected

Yep, I'm glad he's still posting. In fall, I'll start up a thread: "Malinsky fades."

Didn't answer my question. So do you believe anything in his writeups are not being factored into lines? Large card or not.

Sorry man, he generally quotes widely available easy to find stats. He is not winning anything long term and you are not making anything following anything he writes long term.

Maybe a fun read but its nothing more. Good luck

Best way I can describe Malinsky:

    * If u read his stuff, you're going to feel well-prepared.

When u have to throw out that losing bet-slip...at least u can tell yourself "Hey, I was on the right side."

DrunkHorse, salud. That's my point re: this guy. He loves to post information. Yes, some of it is researched + not obvious.

There's a big difference btw Information and Value. Presenting information is not going to automatically lead u to a Pot of Gold.

Sometimes there's a good point in a write up that could be useful but once the game starts it's basically a 50% chance of winning or losing display the odds unless it's a very heavy favorite on the Moneyline

bingo...I just laugh at the guys that need a write up to make a play...usually means they have bought tout packages over and over

Wonder if any one has documented the Dave Malinsky plays over the last 2 years from his old Point Blank hangout. Sample size is bit of an issue but still would be some good info there.

"Looks like an egghead".... That comment must've taken a lot of thought. And - an excellent reason not to read Mr. Malinsky's Point Blank.

Does he create his own line based on the factors he's talking about and then compare that line to the market?

Does he seek value from a mathematical perspective?

Does he explain what factors he quantifies when throwing them into his write-up?

Do his write-ups demonstrated that he understands why the line opens where it opens and moves to where it closes?

Does he know a lot about sports, and write up details about the game and sport, and then apply that to the market in more than a subjective way?

Some guys know a lot about sports but often show little knowledge of gambling itself or the markets.

Some knowledge really is more valuable than others, especially when it comes to sports betting.
