Kristen Eck, who made the allegations of physical and emotional abuse by Rays C Derek Norris, told the Times she will meet with MLB investigators on Tuesday.
That meeting will be a key step in the MLB process to determine if Norris will be disciplined and/or suspended under MLB's domestic violence policy.
Eck alleged in an Instagram post late Sunday that Norris "physically and emotionally" abused her during their relationship that ended in June 2016, leading MLB to launch its investigation. Norris strongly denied the accusations by his former fiancee, saying they "could not be further from the truth.'' After reading his denial, Eck posted a blog item detailing an Oct. 20, 2015, incident of physical abuse.
