Last year Google made a change to their translate page, where now it treats every single URL, that you're trying to translate, as a secured page...regardless whether it's a HTTP URL or HTTPS. Many people complained about it, but I'm not sure, if they ever addressed this issue or not.

    1. Try to force unsecured connection by copying the link below into your web browser:

    HTML Code:
    http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/players-talk
Notice how I used unsecured protocol (HTTP) on both Translate.Google and SBR parts of this URL.

    2. When you get to the forum page, try to login.

    3. If you see that error msg, don't try to close the window, but within the same window click on the Forum dropdown - you should be logged in at that point.

If you need something lighter, without the login, then try http://googleweblight.com
This site doesn't retain the CSS settings, but could be useful, if you want just a text-only page.

Plug this link into your browser at work and see what it does:

    HTML Code:
    http://googleweblight.com/?lite_url=http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/players-talk

    <if condition="$show['browsers']"></if>

Yes, if the VPN provider is also not blocked by the network.

But first you need to find out what kind of a block the network admin put in place.

If you work for a small company, your network administrator can block sites on a per-PC basis with the Windows Host File, by changing browser options or by using third-party software. This is the simplest way a company can block access to a specific site.

Medium to large companies with a small IT department will usually block sites on the network level. In that case, the sites are likely to be blocked by not only their web address but also their IP address.

The easiest way to check if they also block an actual IP address is to first find that IP address for the site that is coming as blocked and then try to enter it into your browser.
To do so, open command prompt and type in "tracert" then type in the website address, for example:

    tracert www.sportsbookreview.com

The IP address is what comes up next to where it says "tracing route to".
