    Anyone touching this garbage NFL opener tonight?

    Panthers are a 3 point fave in Denver. Broncos have a no name quarterback.

    Does Carolina get some revenge or does the Denver defense bottle up Cam again?

    Elway made a terrible mistake, not so much in letting Ostweiler
    sign with the Texans, but in not replacing him with a quarterback
    worthy of the position.

    You don't surround a top defense with a 7th round pick QB
    who has never taken a snap in the NFL.
    In his last season at Northwestern, Siemian threw 7 TD's and 11 INTs.

    Broncos handled Panthers in Super Bowl. Game at home. Peyton was not a factor AT ALL in the Super Bowl. Don't see Broncos losing this one. Same game plan as Super Bowl.

    kubiak's belief is that the QB position in denver is interchangeable cause of how good the defense is.. its a run first, hardknock defensive type of team. this defense won 70% of their games last season. could very well be the same this season lol

    Correct. Defending Super Bowl champs are 10-2 straight up, but second loss was when Ravens were forced to play on the road in Denver.

    Carolina appears to be the safe pick. The difference will be Cam having Kelvin Benjamin at WR this year.

    My thoughts:

    I've watched Siemian quite a bit and I think he throws a nice ball and uses his eyes to look off the safety often. Does not have a strong arm, but good enough to make most of the throws in this offense. Carolina defense must be pumped to start the season going after a inexperienced QB and there is a revenge factor for sure, even though Cam has denied this.

    Denver's defense is very tough, but I think Carolina will find a way to pull away in the 2nd half. If Siemian gives up the ball in the 1st half and they fall behind, I think Denver will be in trouble. They aren't going to catch up by running the ball.

    If it's a 4th quarter game, I feel more comfortable with Cam pulling out the win over Siemian at this point.
