    Hope someone listened, and profited off my demise. The Mets had to go out their way to blow that. No outs, runner on 1st, a double in the gap. Great job by the CFer to get the ball off the wall and to the cutoff. Coach waves him in, which should never happen unless he's gonna score standing up. Of course, out by a mile. Would have had 2nd, and 3rd with no outs so he scores regardless. Instead a pointless risk blows the game. This after Grandy is lazy on a flyball with a runner on 2nd, holding it and puts his head down instead of getting it in so runner hustles and tags up.     White Sox got Shields and then signed Justin Morneau. At least they're trying but just picking losers. Maybe they should contact Dan Haren or Tim Hudson who retired after last year. Give them the Clemens deal no travel unless you're pitching.

    I wonder if the White Sox will take less prospects for Quintana if someone takes all of Shields contract. They are still on the hook for about $16.5 million through next year. The man has become a total gas can.
