I once returned 10's of thousands of dollars, much of it cash, to an assistant who had left the bank bag in the food area at the twin towers near Avenue on the stars in Century City, in LA at her lunch time.
We worked in the same tower and she was pretty, thankful, and pretty thankful all wrapped in one.

Besides money and some personal belongings that I've returned...I once picked up a dog (hotdog) with the tag from the street and found its owners.
Scheduled a time with them to return the dog and a few hours prior to that decided to take it outside so the dog doesn't piss and poop inside of my house. A few minutes later the little fukker took off to never be seen again.
It was over 10 years ago and I still think about that little fella.

I have returned many dogs to owners, even kept them for a couple of days while the owners were out of town. I've even taken a dog across town, following the tag on her collar, to a house where no one was home. The neighbors verified the dog and I jumped the fence, unlocked the gate from the inside, let there dog in, locked it up, then hopped out.

When I worked at a bar, underneath the actual bar was a haven for cash, wallets, cell phones all sorts of things...the phones and wallets were given back but the cash not in the wallet was fair game.
I remember finding Von Wafers cell phone and it had phone numbers of NBA players and was littered with pictures of naked white girls
