Spurs lost on purpose to golden state.....

Saving the real game plan for playoffs. Spurs sat duncan without any injuries. Spurs will beat gs in playoffs from the inside game.

More of a recon mission. They want to see what the Warriors do and find ways to defend it. They know what they're doing

Recon mission? You see Kawhi Leonard flailing around trying to cover Curry? I think Pop said "oh Sh*t" after that game

spurs are either gonna rebound bigtime and dust the rockets, or rockets steal it with Duncan out......

been on rockets overs for a while now, and depending on which rockets' team shows up, it's either going way under due to their futility vs. the spurs, or both teams run/gun throw def out the window and hit 210......

usually I know just what to do with the rockets, tonight im on the fence b/c h-town so f'n unpredictable as to whether they'll show up focused and ready to play.......

and the wildcard pig Kardashiho still impacting Harden's game, making this even more difficult.... spurs by 15, or rockets by 3, depending on which Rockets team shows up.....

for all you Rome followers, Morey did make an appearance in the Jungle today, giving the rockets the coveted "jungle karma"

I won't say they lost on purpose but they were not nearly as serious about winning as gsw. Even in the pregame interview with pop. He said something along the lines of - this game is insignificant in the grand scheme of things, tonight is about learning - spurs playoffs vs spurs regular season is a different team.

Pop sat Duncan because he is 39 years old. A grandfather in NBA standards. Nothing to do with injuries. Nobody loses on purpose. Instead it is more the intensity they play with.

Pop knew what was up. Teams may not try to lose by 30 on purpose but when the gameplan is set and not about winning, some teams can win by 30 on purpose...especially the Warriors.

You guys realize the Spurs got knocked out the first round to the Clippers last season?

I definitely think the Warriors were more into winning this game than the Spurs. You have to be nuts to think that home court doesn't matter in a possible playoff series. If they lost on purpose they have to be crazy confident that they can beat anybody, anywhere, anytime. Maybe they are, we will see.

Well if San Antonio wins we haven't learned much. If GSW wins did the Spurs lose on purpose again?

They dont lose on purpose but maybe Pop lets em play GSW style of ball during the regular season. Then in the west finals, the battle of the coaching staff begins?

certainly a Pop strategy in the past... he wants the Warriors NICE and RELAXED when they meet in the playoffs..

he knows it's a 7 game series... he wants at least a 1 game edge, or at least a single Half where he can catch them off-guard

Pop is smart.. he knows that Spurs will not finish with better record, better to just steal a game in GS
in the playoffs. or give himself a better chance at doing that

The Spurs always get new pups before the old dogs have to be put to pasture. They always have a winning team and culture to attract free agents.

I think Duncan could never be replaced you're talking about a top five all time Nba great

It's quite possible the NBA are going to lack superstars moving forward and the league could for the first time in years take a downturn

Spurs got roughed up pretty bad. But then they roughed up the rockets by 30 pts. What gives?!?! I think u will see a more physical team if these two match up. Probably look to allow curry to drive to lane just to commit hard fouls. We will see

    It's a regular season game

    These games don't mean anything

    Only rookies think so

Spurs need way more time to get Aldridge incoprorated into the offense. As of now, Warriors are a better team. Spurs won't even peak until 2 weeks into the playoffs bro. They have a long way to go. Still think they will win it all. I don't knee-jerk react to these reg season games like most on here. Veterans don't knee jerk.

You realize Tony Parker played on 1 leg last year? Guy is 100% healthy this year and easily a top 6 pg in nba when healthy, don't care what stats say. Wait until playoffs and tell me I'm wrong.

Not even to mention they added a top 3 pf in nba. Team will gel at the right time, you'll see.

That's why they have the rest of the season and the first round of the playoffs to tinker with lineups, let guys gel, etc. TOday I think they started Kyle Anderson at the 4? Look for more small ball lineups throughout the year. Maybe throw Simmons in there at the 3, leonard at the 4.

You can bet that this will be a lineup against GS at some point in the game next time:

    Parker
    Ginobli
    Green/Simmons
    Leonard
    Aldridge
