    We now have a proven motive to rig games, surely one cannot put it past the NFL or NCAA to manipulate the game to be close to the spread. Is this the secret to how Vegas always seems to be right on the money with their spreads and totals? Maybe they have been getting inside help this whole time. There is certainly motive to do so, and this study proves that TV ratings go up the closer to the spread the game is.
