    Oh yea the grading system is where I fell out of cards. That was part of the fun was checking the corners and looking at the card itself for creases or photo not aligned or whatever. The fact that you have to have it graded by some baseball card jeweler now is crazy.

    Pointless. Ruins the spirit of collecting.
    They're worth what someone's gonna pay.
    I sold 1957 Ted Williams for $80 & was lucky to get it.
    I pulled a big money Carey Price card & sold it to the 1st person who transfered $200 chips to my pokerstars account.
    Grades & book values are irrelevant now.

    In addition to the Short Print Diamond Anniversary cards there were rarer Short Print cards called Cognac cards. They had the same sparkly pattern but were Cognac coloured. I pulled about a dozen of these Cognac cards from packs in 2011 but only pulled 3 significant players.
    One was a Short print Phil Rizutto Cognac, which was very rare because it was an I sert to the regular set & the other one was Triple Crown. I don't sell or give away any of my Miguel Cabrera cards.
    The other was arguably the best card I could pul in 2011.
