Kudos to Chip Kelly for giving this kid a chance. I've always said that Tebow is a winner, and could help the right team if he is used correctly. I hope he makes an impressive showing.

Hey, he carried Denver on his back to the playoffs and beat Pittsburgh, then. All he does is fight to win. He could take a 5-11 team and make them 8-8. But. he can't get to the next level and take an 8-8 team to 12-4. I always thought - hey - make a tight end out of him something!

he is a lot better than Sam Bradford.

Honestly i think he is a good fit for Philly.

Philly could use a good christian influence.

I wish that a head coach would have the guts to run a primary wildcat, ball control, offense. Get some quarterbacks like Tebow, and Terrell Pryor, that can run the ball. It could prove all the Tebow haters wrong.

All smoke/mirrors in Denver. He proved that he cannot throw accurately, read an nfl defense, while beating pretty much all bad teams and backup qb's in dumb luck scenarios quite often. Don't care how much heart the kid has he hurts a team ultimately. Too many 3/outs on offense, which also hurts your defense and wears them out. Cannot stretch field or utilize receivers, and he's not that hard to prepare for on opposing defenses. Some things just work better in college!

Possible I suppose Chip might be looking at it more from a gimmick scheme standpoint. Maybe he thinks Shebow can be put into some packages for his offense but I doubt he's seriously looking at him as a starting Qb. Timay never has gone for that though and doubt he's changed his mind. For some reason Tebow believes he's an nfl caliber qb. And let's be honest Chip is ultimately aiming for his Duckie Marcus who I have serious doubts about at next level as well.

Tebow won a playoff game and he is a great leader.

He was never given a chance as a Jet.

Guy has the "it" factor and all he does is win.

Bringing Tebow in is a smart move regardless if he plays or not, will make Eagles tons of money.

Bear people like you have all been fooled with the "it" factor or he's a winner angle. He beat a bunch of shit teams that year plain and simple in most unlikely scenarios at times even in final min when he did NOTHING for previous 59. That is just not sustainable in the nfl it's been proven over the years gimmicks come and go after their short success.

I'm gonna come off like the guy doing the narrative at the end of movie Moneyball where he says basically you cannot change or reinvent this gm. Same applies to playing Qb at the highest level. Your job is to have poise, read/dissect defense, be a leader, and last get the ball to your playmakers using your arm!! Running option sweeps every Sunday is not gonna fool anyone or last in this league with the biggest, strongest, fastest.

Elvis Grbac, Tommy Maddox, TJ Yates all won a playoff gm as well. But I wouldn't want any of those bums starting for me either if I wanted to be taken seriously.

I bet you they weren't big underdogs in that game though.

No one gave Tebow a chance in that game (myself included). All he did was come up big. The next week in New England they were like +14.5, so that's obviously not a winning situation.

All i know is if teams are still giving Mark Sanchez a chance than Tebow should get one too.

Its amazing that with all the garbage qbs out there that a team will not give this guy a shot at a least a 3rd string or practice squad position. Seriously, the cards wouldn't have been better off with this guy instead of playing guys like ryan lindley??

nobody wants tebow because he is so powerful and takes attention away from everyone

It has nothing to do with his skills

Nothing to do with his skills JJ? Sorry that made me laugh If you can play then you do play at nfl. If any team thought this guy had a skill set or could play the position at a high level he plays plain and simple despite the circus. That's the problem he doesn't fit nfl mold and even as a backup won't work with his skill set. Your starter goes down and you have to change your entire offensive approach to accommodate 1 guy.

    Tebow is a playoff QB

Did more in NFL than 70% of QB's

He is too powerful of a guy period
