Donaldson has 23 homers in 415 at-bats this season (one per 18 AB), yet only 57 in 1,297 for his career (22.8).
Moss has 23 homers in 347 at-bats this season (one per 15.1 AB), yet only 89 in 1,763 for his career (19.8).
We'll see where the A's are in October. At home, like usual. They are the Tigers' postseason bitch.

Only halfway serious there. I'm guessing a lot of it is luck, but having so many guys improve on the A's does make you wonder if at least part of it is due to good approach and instruction, and situational management.
EDIT: As far as the Tigers beating the A's 3-2 for the past two years in the playoffs, they've been pretty close to beating a team with a payroll that's $100,000,000.00 more. I wonder if the Tigers front office pat themselves on the back for beating the A's with that money with no world series titles to show for it.
