    If I'm a assistant coach in the system...Im mad.....how do they get jobs if a player can be a coach in 24 hours while other coaches grinding away in d-league or on someone else's bench

    So apparently if you have zero coaching experience, you can become a headcoach. It helps if you are fresh off retirement or come from TV background.

    It's crazy they can't find good basketball coaches in the top league in the world. I would rather take a chance on a successful HS coach who knows the X's and O's over a former player. The assistant coaches do most of the work these days in the NBA.
