Our PC media keeps putting this stupid line of thinking out there.

The ______'s shouldn't hire a (white) retread coach. Give somebody else, give somebody new (and black) a chance. These retreads are part of the (white) old boy network and only get jobs because they are friends with the other white coaches and owners. We need to give more 1st time guys a chance, we need more younger coaches, we need more minority coaches.

First of all, nobody gives a shit about minority coaches, it's all about BLACK coaches. Nobody cares about Ron Rivera. Nobody pushed for Norm Chow to get a job and said we need more Asian coaches. Nobody wants a woman coach for diversity. The people who promote this shit want more black coaches plain and simple. The NFL is on an offensive hiring binge and black offensive coordinators are very very rare. So since nobody is hiring black coaches Tony Dungy of all people, surprise surprise was asked to put together a committee to recommend new coaches to ownership. Surprise surprise he recommends black coaches and more Rooney Rule BS. Jim Caldwwell was atrocious this year but the Lions are going to bring him in for a fake interview for the Rooney Rule.

So about "retread" coaches.

Bill Bellicheck is a retread. They hated him in Cleveland.
Pete Carroll is a retread and has a 1st round bye.
John Fox is a retread and has a 1st round bye. Oh yeah he's white and has lots of connections too.
Andy Reid is a retread
Mike Shannahan is a retread
Jeff Fisher
Bill Cowher would be a retread
Jon Gruden would be a restread


Don't you think sometimes people learn from their mistakes? Why does it have to be 1 shot to be an NFL coach, if you don't make it then you must suck? Well what if you didn't have a franchise QB over the few seasons with your team? What if you are Chuzinski and you get 16 games and have to go through 3 QB's due to injury and have your starting RB traded away and young players? Did Chud really get a fair shot?

Don't believe all this crap in our media about not hiring "retread" head coaches. I don't think they would have any problem hiring Lovie Smith the "retread". FYI I think Lovie Smith is a good coach and should get another shot but the NFL is bending over backwards, propagandizing and trying to pressure teams into hiring black coaches. Race doesn't matter but hey, nobody is hiring black coaches so let's try and force them to!

So yes, teams would be stupid to not take a look at Gary Kubiak, Mike Shannihan, Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, Lovie Smith or even a guy like Nick Saban if he were available.

Yeah if you can get a Darrell Bevel or Greg Roman that could work too but cut the negative connotations about retread coaches.

Retreads to me are coaches that never really had a lot of success as HC like a Dick Jauron or Wade Phillips or Romeo Crennell. Reid, Fisher, Gruden, Cowher, Shanahan don't fit that profile.
