3 points, take the lead, if you don't make it you get nothing. Maybe you know your line gets blown off the ball and it generally hard to throw the ball when everyone can bunch up and not worry about getting beat. I'm not against going for it on 4th and 1 in scenarios but acting like it makes no sense to ever kick it in the first half just makes you sound like you don't know what your talking about.
