    Spurs -140 to win west?

    Can someone explain this line?

If Spurs beat Golden State which they should be -350 to -400 they will likely play memphis or OKC.

Memphis will prab be around +220
and the thunder right around PK to +130. Maybe im under estimating this line but i really doubt the thunder can beat Memphis or the clips with no Westbrook. This Spurs line looks too easy to take and hedge out in conference finals.

Why isn't there a series price yet for San Antonio/Golden State?

Wow. I would say this makes San Antonio -140 to win the West pretty nice.

New bettor and new to fourms here, so sorry if this isn't the place to ask or for any other offenses.

But I was just kinda wondering the same type of question.

Would it be wise to place this bet?

    To win the west:
    1 unit on Grizzlies ($100 pays $550)
    1 Unit on Spurs ($100 pays $80)

at $100 (my units are much smaller) on each if Grizzlies win I would be up $450.
If Spurs win I'm out only $20.

And if anyone else wins I'm out two units of course. (of course I could go 2 units on spurs 1 unit on Grizzlies and be up if either of them win.

I really feel like it is down to them two with the Thunder hurting.

How bad of an idea is this?

At first glance I really like Memphis, but that had more to do with them upsetting the Spurs a couple of years ago. Completely different team now. That Memphis team had OJ Mayo and Shane Battier, and Ginobili wasn't healthy heading into that series. I think everyone of us foolishly got caught up in the Spurs are too old talk. While Memphis is superior in the post up game, they are the worst 3 point shooting team in the league. The Spurs can Post and shoot efficiently from the 3, that's why you got to like the Spurs winning the West.

The only way i cant hedge out my bet for a profit is if the Spurs loose to golden state. So im taking the spurs basically at -140 to beat GS vs -450 or whatever line would be.

Spurs -940 to beat GS. Is that right? Moved from -450 to -940

I still dont get the line? They are -940 to beat GS but only -150 to win west. Why would you bet spurs series price vs GS when you can bet them at -150 to win west n hedge out vs whoever they play in conf finals.

Well, if they are -940 over Golden State, that means in order to make the wager worth -140, they would have to be -182 or higher against Memphis or Oklahoma City.

If you believe they will be higher than -182 versus those teams, you should take -140 to win the West right now.

If you believe they will be lower than -182, no reason to bet it.

depends who they play. they would have homecourt v memphis but not v okc. if okc beats memphis they will have proven to be able to beat a good team without westbrook so i think with homecourt v spurs they would be +150 at most. and more like +110/+120

    spurs/memphis i'd have the spurs around -220

Could you imagine the ratings for the Pacers vs. Spurs NBA Championship, shame.
