It has been a long time since I've posted but I will put up all my points plus $ that the spurs will win this series 4-1 or sweep. Let me know if you want action

Did you want any part of a 7 game series of Jackson and Karl? how about brooks and pops last year.

You are so hooked on this coaching thing all the time. Something should be said for the camaraderie Jackson built on this team. He has them believing.

Very simply will come down to if they can take 1-2 games at San Antonio. I didnt think they could vs Denver but we all saw how they came a few breaks in gm 1 from sweeping the Nuggets.

Warriors will be around +350 for series. And Grizzlies will be a lot closer to +200 vs. OKC than the much lower odds guessed in this thread.

Anyone thinking that they can bet S.Ant Series at less than 4-1 is dreaming.

I agree with that and seeing what Houston's defense is doing to OKC I can only wonder what Memphis' defense can do to them. Field v Spurs at +120 is tempting even though they will face the weakest team in the 2nd round while OKC and MEM battle it out (most likely)

Why is he fine and Griffin isn't? From what I've read, they're in virtually the same boat.

I was referring more to Memphis. How about, how often do teams come back from 2-0 down?? Memphis still has work to do, whether Blake plays or not. It's looking more and more like he is in though.

Not saying the Grizzlies don't wrap it up....but there will be ALOT of pressure in Memphis tonight.
It's hard to close out a series at home, just ask Chicago, New York and OKC.

Especially for a team with key guys lacking playoff experience. Remember, Randolph, Gasol and Conley have been around for a long time, but each have only won 1 playoff series before. The bench is extremely inexperienced.

The Clip Show brought in guys like Billups, Butler, Odom and Barnes for situations like tonight. We'll see what happens

lol Randolph is good to go. whatever he has didn't happen overnight. the grizzlies are a heavyweight team and the clippers are welterweights, if that. its no wonder Memphis has worn them down.

If ZR rolled his ankle during the game, it absolutely could've ballooned overnight.

my point was he's probably been playing through injuries. he rolled his foot early in the series. guarantee you he's been dealing with his own issues.

HAS ANYONE MENTIONED THAT GOLDEN STATE HAS NOT WON A SINGLE GAME IN SAN ANTONIO SINCE 1997??? LOL
Granted, this team is far and away better than any team we've taken into Spurs territory in that 15 year span but still having said that, the price on this series should open no less than GS +450. I won't be betting anything less than +500. In order for GS to win this one they will have to play nearly perfect (the way they played in game 2 vs the nuggets) 4 times. They will have to steal 1 game in SA and then protect home court for 3 games, again. Yes the Spurs are old, yes they are a little banged up. Yes the Warriors are young and play fast and can shoot lights out at times. BUT you have to look at matchups. The Warriors matched up with the Nuggets much better. All they had to do was stop the fastbreak pts and rebound to beat the Nuggets. With coach pops system, it doesn't matter who's on they floor for the spurs, everyone scores and contributes. Parker is better than Lawson, Duncan and Splitter are better than Faried/Koufus/McGee. Leonard is comparable to Iguodala as a lockdown defender. Then you add Ginobli and the remainder of the Spurs deep bench and role players to the mix. This is going to be a tough one for the Warriors. In order for the Warriors to Win this series the following things HAVE GOT to happen:
    1. Steph Curry has got to dominate the matchup with Tony Paker.
    2. Andrew Bogut has got to play extremely well. He dominated game 6 last night and that's how he must play in this series.
    3. KLAY THOMPSON MUST make his open shots. He struggled in the last 3 games against Denver, that won't fly against SA.
    4. Landry/Green/Barnes/Ezeli have got to continue to rebound and defend the paint when they're on the floor (not much of a concern of mine at this point but it must continue)
    5. Neither Curry or Bogut can get injuried. If either of these guys go down, the run is over.

Having said all that, I've been a fan all my life and I could not be more excited for this series! I believe they can continue to play well and make this a good series and potentially win it, but I'm going to be smart with my money. Look for +500 imo

Also, for game 1 I'd hop on Warriors +9 if it shows up. Cheers All

This is what the Spurs can do that the Nuggets can't.

Popovich will out coached Mark Jackson

The Spurs can defend the 3

Bogut is not a good defender away from the paint which is what Tim Duncan will make him do

The Spurs can Pick and Roll

The Spurs got just as many prolific 3 point shooter as GSW

In the summation the Spurs will cover majority of the games in this series. This series is going to be 4-1 or a sweep, that's how I'm futuring bet this one.

Teams who don't play defense don't go far hence Lakers, Denver, Sixers, and sometimes the Warriors, Toronoto, Houston, and Milwaulkee. Those teams have fallen in love with offense. Any who, the Warriors are satisfied with their first round victory. Coach Popovich will have Curry and the Warriors on lockdown. The Spurs will play Defense and stop the Warriors.

I was off on both, OKC/Memphis series is a PICK, which I think is insane. I know you love Grizzlies, but all the value seems to lie with Thunder at that price. I estimated Memphis +200 based on OKC -5.5 at home and Mem -2 at home, OKC -3.5 seems like an over-adjustment for Westbrook.
