So, who graded this fight CORRECTLY....

That was the report the night of the fight. 5dimes,sportsbook,Bodog and thegreek are all calling it a no contest while bookmaker is calling it a win for Valdez....

A bout between WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel (39-2-2, 29 KOs) and Alex Valdez (22-2-3, 15 KOs) has now been declared a technical draw. In a wild fight, Montiel dropped Valdez in round one, but Valdez came back furiously to floor Montiel in round two. Montiel was cut over the left eye seemingly by a punch in round one and that cut apparently later caused the bout to be stopped before the beginning of the fourth round. The fight was originally declared a technical draw, but then it was announced by a member of the local commission that the result was changed to a TKO for Valdez. Now WBO commissioner Luis Perez has officially decreed the bout a technical draw as the cut on Montiel’s left eyelid came before the fourth round. Montiel’s title was not on the line.

How quickly was the result changed from a win to a draw?

The original result was a win. The changed/overturn result was a draw. Most books have rules ignoring overturned decisions. If it was not immediate, the graded result should probably be a "win".

It was overturned the same night as the fight.

A couple years ago Barrera vs Juarez at Staples was announced as a draw, but by the time I got home, Barrera was declared the winner due to a scoring error on one of the scorecards. How would that have been handled by the books?

I saw the fight, it was very very bizarre - they called it a technical draw at first, then some random guy came up correcting the verdict and calling Valdez the winner. Then they went to the next fight with no idea of what happened.

So I see the call was fixed again, only it's wrong cause the cut was actually caused by a punch and not a headbutt

I remember the Barrera-Juarez fight as had several tickets on it. Books graded Barrera as the winner correctly.

BTW the answer to this thread was everyone BUT bookmaker. Especially when there rule states...

All results are official by the result of the governing body on the day of the fight

The ruling was changed that night they did not follow there own rules.
