Until this year, Hughes always got great run support. But the guys who used to give him that support are mostly gone this year.

The rookie just took him deep again

The PoS gets a lead, pukes it up, Yanks get him another lead back, pukes that back up.

    Unreal

One of the rare times I feel better about my bet after a starting pitcher exits before completing the 5th

I have bet the guy just once since 2009.
Even if you are up 5-1 with the bozo, you are still sweating bullets.

Been waiting for this game since Thursday when I saw the probables.

Ian Kennedy (the guy Cashman dumped in favor of Phil Hughes) against Phil Hughes.

I hope Ian Kennedy shoves it up both Cashman's and Hughes ass big time.
I hope San Diego crushes Hughes.

Having said that, if there is a game that Hughes can win, it's this one, the balls don't fly out of San Diego, and the SD lineup is not exactly murderers row.

    Well one can hope.
I hope Hughes gets crushed, and Kennedy pitches lights out, but I think fat head Phil actually pitches a good game here.
    Hope I am wrong.

You want to talk about two schizos squaring off.

You need to have your head examined if you bet on this game.

Who said anything about betting it?

I wouldn't bet Hughes on an SBR free play.
I would never bet Hughes +200 against Bad News Bears.
I wouldn't bet Phil Hughes ever.

However, this is winnable game for him.
    Still not betting it.

I just meant "you" in the general sense.

And I'd say the same thing re: Kennedy.

Can't even beat SD in that park, against that line up

3 runs 4 hits after two innings.

    He can't suck enough

    You watching this?
He's all over the place, he's got 63 pitches in 2.1 innings so far.
This bum is the biggest, most overrated PoS in any sport.

Knocked out in the middle of the third.
    His day is done.

    Well done Phil, well done.

    $230,000 per start.

And Cashman wouldn't move him at the deadline either.
Not available is what he said.

    Not really.

It's the Hughes fade. I will not relent just because he's pitching in California.

I got SD as home underdogs against Phil Hughes. If you had the opportunity to get that and didn't...

As a Yankees fan I can't stand this guy......What a disaster.....Hughes Kennedy and Joba were supposed to be the future 1-2-3 in the rotation for a decade and now look where we're at
