1) Jeremy Hefner at -149 is a joke.
He's a hamburger and the only time Hefner and the Mets should be -149 against anybody would be against Fairfield Ct. HS, and even our HS team would score runs against him.
2) Alex Sanabia stuff is good, his MLB numbers, as limited as they are, are good.
Sanabia is 5-3 in his 14 MLB starts with a 3.67 ERA, a solid, better than MLB average 1.27 WH/IP ratio.
55K's in 83 MLB innings pitched is 6 per game.
Factor in the fact he pitches for a crappy team, these numbers are good
3) As previously mentioned, Jeremy Hefner is a hamburger.
Hefner has pretty much the same Major League experience as Sanabia except his numbers are a poor 4-7 record, with a 5.09 ERA and 1.37 WH/IP ratio. Poor by MLB standards, and about 1.5 runs worse than Sanabia.
OK without getting long winded here, the Mets are extremely over priced here.
More than likely because they won 2 out of their first 3 vs. SD and Miami got swept by the Nats.
Dig deeper, Mets won a series against a weak ass hitting Padre team, Miami got swept by that pitching machine named the Nationals.
Know this, Jeremy Hefner is not Strasburg, or Zimmerman, or even Charlie Morton, and even though the Marlins are not murderers row, they have enough sticks to get to him.
Marlins have faced him once in the past, and did hit Hefner.
I always say, the only guarantee in MLB is that every team is going to win at least 60 games every season, and lose 60 games every season, and what happens with the other 40 games defines your season.
This is a spot where the 0 and 3 Marlins win one if those 40 and go to 1 and 3
This is a spot where the 2 and 1 Mets and go to 2 and 2.
-149 on Hefner and the Mets is whack.
+139 on a live arm (Sanabia) and the Fish is pure value here on (in my opinion is pretty much a flip)
By the way Sanabia is a good control pitcher, not overpowering at 90 MPH fastball, but mixes in off speed stuff to accent the fastball.
Looking for the Fish who only scored 1 run in 3 games against the Nat pitching machine to get their ya-ya's out tonight in NYC.
