That's what I figure. Plus, when do you ever see a team as good as Duke get +500 odds?

Best of luck. To me, Duke plays either really well or absolutely terrible.

Fair point but remember, the Tournament is only 2 games per weekend if you make it through and K is the best Tournament coach ever. They should be ready.

It's a good bet but I think there are some just as good.

Indiana is going off at 4.5-1, or 5-1, and they will be the #1 overall seed.

Louisville is going off at 7-1 right now. I think they're better than Duke.

    How about Michigan at 10-1?

    And Georgetown is at 12-1.

I think all of those are the same value as Duke at 5-1.

It's tough to bet these without a bracket in front of you. If Duke/Gonzaga/Kansas/Indiana are the #1 seeds, Michigan/Michigan State/Georgetown could be a pain in the ass, especially of 2-3 of those teams are in a given region.

    Good luck with your bet.

You're better off taking Duke moneyline in every game in the big tourney and parlaying each win to the next game. You'll get better odds than +500 .........+500 doesnt seem like enough odds imo.

    Good luck though

So, while Duke won-- I think you can make a case that Louisville is every bit as good.

You think Louisville is the same team?

Duke lost to Miami, FL--- 7 weeks ago, and I don't think Miami is anywhere near as good as they were playing in January.

So the question-- 2 teams, both played to the wire one time in November-- one is going off at 5-1, the other at 7-1, don't ya think the same value is in Louisville that you see in Duke?

Most futures bets are sucker bets gladly offered by books imo. You can always can get a better number by betting the playoff game individually.

Burke and Co. gagged vs. Ohio U in the first round last year, then gagged with the Big Ten title on the line this year. I'd be more interested in a one- or two-and-done prop re: Michigan than them making a push for the NC.

Can you get Miami 200-1 by betting each individual game?

Suckers bet futures at the wrong time and on shitty odds.

Depends on their bracket. Love em or hate em, they make good ratings, so they may get an easy road.

It's all about LVILLE +600. Duke is not physical enough to win the NC this year mark my words.

I don't think Michigan will win it at all, it was going to my point about "value".

Let me ask it this way. Do you think Duke is much better than Michigan? I don't. Duke's soft, and Michigan doesn't play defense very well.

They are basically the same team in different colored uniforms, one going off at +500, the other at +1200.

The OP was excited about percieved "value" in getting Duke +500, I used Michigan as an example of better value.

I think Duke at +500 is an absolute rip off. But the public will hit that number, just watch.

Who do you think will win Sam Diamond?

Who is your favorite to win it all and why?

You gave very good valid reasons for the others not to win it.

I love Louisville, and I also love Indiana.

Because their bigs can shoot, and handle the ball, and both teams rebound well.

Indiana is a great FT shooting team, hitting something like 75%, they also lead the Big 10 in FG % (something like 48%), and are second in FG% defense, the lead the Big 10 in 3-pt %, and are in the Top 3 in offensive and defensive rebounding.

What more do I have to say?

I think Indiana is one of those teams that can turn/on, turn/off.

I don't like futures-- for the many reasons pointed out in this thread. But if I were forced to buy one-- Indiana the team, with Louisville 2nd.

Except Duke's most important player didn't play in Miami.

Duke is still the only team that is undefeated while healthy, and you look at the teams they've played with Kelly, and its crazy they haven't lost.

I don't know how much value there is at 5-1, but they are without a doubt my favorite to win it, with Indiana a close second, I don't think anyone else is really close (maybe Louisville is a bit above the rest of the pack)

Yeah but Duke ain't the same team, either. Ryan Kelly just came back and now Marshall Plumlee is coming off the bench and has worked himself into the rotation.

Even with Ryan Kelly--- Duke just demonstrated how soft they are.

Maryland won--- from start to finish. In fact, Duke never led. Not for a single second.

Indiana would bend Duke over Deliverance-Style.
