I think the Over is the sharp line, as long as he keeps wearing the suit coat

Why doesn't he wear shorts and sneaks to run the 40? But the way he is flailing, he couldn't break under 6.0 40 with skates.

Over is a solid bet unless you hear about him training or working out hard or something before he runs it

Ran a 4.7-4.8 at best but was a college athlete prob would run around 4.9- 5 flat these days......If you are in decent shape and somewhat athletic you should be able to run low 5's

Offensive linemen in the NFL run 4.9-5.4

heh - one of the silly traditions of the NFL calender. I say Rich goes over 6 is probably the right play. Either way, I'm excited to see the 'comparison' vids of Eisen vs the slowest and the fastest. They have a good laugh at it.

A full second in a short race like the 40 is a huge difference.

That jacket flapping behind him makes him look a lot faster than he is until he's compared to the athletes.

THECHAOZ - I ran a 4.43 in my peak. I played football and ran track but was always somewhat slow out of the blocks. The 400 and 800 were my specialties.

Anybody under 220 Lbs should really be able to run under 5.2 The bigger/heavier guys should be under 5.7. 6 seconds is really not trying. 6 seconds is very easy. A lot of woman can clock under 6.

Eisen was running so high up, flailing his arms and taking baby steps. The suit probably gave him a little drag as well. Under normal conditions and a little coaching to keep his head down longer he should be able to hit under 5.5 rather easily.

I give credit to Eisen for being a knucklehead and doing it in a suit every year. They do a good job of ham'n it up and bringing a bit of fun to their broadcast. Christ, with all the attention Te'o has received, it's a breath of fresh air. Actually, this year lacked a lot of what I want to see - and that's the work outs. They showed, I think, every 40. Where's the 3 cone? They showed sooo little of the gauntlet drill. Glad they showed some of the position drills, but sheesh - if you're going to do THAT much coverage, it would be better to show the kids doing their stuff. It's been a couple of years since I really watched the combine, not sure when that all changed. Hopefully when they condense it all down there will be stuff that they didn't show.
