    The defense wasn't that bad. Kaepernick threw a pick which gave Ravens good field position. Then the special teams let a kickoff return for a TD. And the defense forced a fumble in the Ravens territory which the offense failed to capitalize with a TD.

    The Niners have a good defense. Balty just has a good offense.

    San Francisco had the talent to win but Balty had the experience and that is huge.

    Harbaugh is in his second year and Kaepernick was making his 10th start. Balty definitely had the edge there.

    It's no surprise the Niners were a different team in the second half when they settled down.

    Other than he long TD pass before the half the Niner defense played well.

    One bomb and a kickoff return accounted for 14 of Balty's 34 points.

    Flacco was making some incredible plays and so was Boldin. It wasn't a case of bad defense but a case of great offense IMO.
