    For example.....Elway was better than Phil Simms or Doug Williams but the AFC was HORRIBLE back then and there were prob 5 teams in the NFC better than Denver so Elway got smoked every time. It doesn't mean Elway wasn't great....just not nearly enough help around him.

    Phil Simms had one of the greatest games in the history on Elway's Bronco's.
    Two of the incompletions were drops.

    If his penalty is playing in 6-9 more than those other guys than so be it.

    I get the passion behind capturing the moment and losing not an option but IMO 9-1 is better than 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0.

    Montana has lost more in the playoffs. Also can't be erased. People are so hung up on SB losses. I'd rather have my QB lose in the SB than in the divisional or championship rounds which Montana has done more. The whole "Montana has never lost a SB" argument is severely ignorant and reflects on a poor understanding of common sense. Also, the AFC was putrid when Montana was winning SB's.

    the best teams of the AFC/NFC earn their spot to the Superbowl yearly,
