    Did Starr lose any championships?

If not, he is number 1 on the list..

If he did, he is no longer on this list....

You do know there are 50+ guys on each team right? Its not QB vs QB like MMA.

Good O-line plus lilguys/TE's running 6 yard slants up the middle is what makes him look great..

    Nothing spectacular.

For example.....Elway was better than Phil Simms or Doug Williams but the AFC was HORRIBLE back then and there were prob 5 teams in the NFC better than Denver so Elway got smoked every time. It doesn't mean Elway wasn't great....just not nearly enough help around him.

Every QB who has lost a Superbowl or championship will tell you he would of been better not to be there in the 1st place,

In every QB's heart they know when given the opportunity in the big dance losing is not an option....

Every QB who has ever played the game would gladly trade career places with anyone on that list..........

    Would they not?

Phil Simms had one of the greatest games in the history on Elway's Bronco's.
Two of the incompletions were drops.

Starr would trade places with Rodgers and Brees ?

Only so he could play again would be my guess.

If his penalty is playing in 6-9 more than those other guys than so be it.

I get the passion behind capturing the moment and losing not an option but IMO 9-1 is better than 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0.

Only post season game Starr lost was the 1960 game, his first playoff game, he ran the table after that 1960 game.
Pack lost to Van Brocklin's Eagles, who were like the 1985 Bears that year.
    Pack lost 17-13.
Starr went 21 for 34 that game, TD, no picks.

    John Elway in Superbowl losses

    SB 21:

    Passes Attempted 41
    Passes Completed 26
    Had Intercepted/ TD's 1/1
    Tackled Attempting to Pass 4
Yards Lost Attempting to Pass 32
    Yards Gained Passing (Net) 320

    SB 22

    Passes Attempted 39
    Passes Completed 15
    Had Intercepted/TD's 3/0
    Tackled Attempting to Pass 5
Yards Lost Attempting to Pass 50
    Yards Gained Passing (Net) 230
    SB 24

    Passes Attempted 29
    Passes Completed 11
    Had Intercepted/TD's 2/0
    Tackled Attempting to Pass 6
Yards Lost Attempting to Pass 33
    Yards Gained Passing (Net) 103

Elway was a total failure in all his Superbowl losses

    End of discussion............

Looks like there was a bye week after the Broncs beat the Browns and lost to the Giants.

Interesting, he's 1 and 4 lifetime vs. NYG

Your hate for the Pats and Brady is strong. I'm sure that 59-24 ass whooping didn't help matters. I can picture you watching that game with your Luck jersey on, Colts #1 foam finger on one hand and a Zima in the other screaming at your 19 inch Magnavox. Get over it loser.

That's because more playoffs teams were added, giving a first round cupcake as opposed to the old days.

    Tom Brady QB rating 87.8, 6.66 y/a,
    Joe Montana QB rating 95.6, 7.86 y/a,

If you adjust that for today's joke passing numbers the difference is even bigger.

Montana has lost more in the playoffs. Also can't be erased. People are so hung up on SB losses. I'd rather have my QB lose in the SB than in the divisional or championship rounds which Montana has done more. The whole "Montana has never lost a SB" argument is severely ignorant and reflects on a poor understanding of common sense. Also, the AFC was putrid when Montana was winning SB's.

Fukkin Elway was the most overrated QB in history.

Lost 3 Super Bowls on his own and won 2 of them riding on Terrell Davis' dikk.

    Fukk Elway. Fukk the Broncos.

Favre and Elway are two of the most overrated. Elway looks like a god damn horse. The Broncos helmet should have his face on them.

    No,

playoffs losses can not count because they are not the big dance and extension of the regular season,

the best teams of the AFC/NFC earn their spot to the Superbowl yearly,

The Team that has the Best QB performance always prevails and hoists the Lombardi.............
