Anyone use check cashing places to cash sportsbook checks?

Do they just check your ID to make sure the name matches the name on check and that's it? Or do you have to give them your social security number, address, etc? Do they keep your info on file for govt. organizations to see?

Just wondering if you guys can share your experiences?

    Thanks

Long time ago i cashed an offshore check at one of those places... I had to show ID and they took a picture of me for their database

On top of that they took like 12%

somehow these places can call 'someone' and see if there is $$$ to cover the check... but they still take a risk that's why the high % charge

Some will some wont. If it is a canadian check even in u.s most places won't. If it is a u.s Bank most will but they will take between 8-14 percent. Also if they check bounces most will charge you 35-50 bucks and they will come after you for the bad check. If you have spent that money already they will sue you.
