this game cost the forum ALOT of money if you put it together.

Seaweed, I like your writeup and everything else you wrote, except for the TITLE.

It's just like when cappers have a GOY. there's no reason to do that man.

Another loss in soccer, these thread titles and GOY type branding of plays gotta go.

ha yeah was awesome, great being able to bring on two players and they both score! Are you based in Italy or travelling just for the game? I need to head out sometime this season to check out the new stadium...I haven't been to Turin for over a year now...far too long!

no i live in england, i went to Turin twice last season, first for the home game against Parma which i couldn't get tickets for, and the 2nd time for the scudetto party in May celebrating with 400,000 was mad, and getting close to the open top bus seeing the players up close was amazing, but yeah i finally got tickets this time around, just sorry i didn't go for the tickets against napoli but i wasn't allowed the time off for it so had to settle for the one against bologna at the end of the month, really can't wait! and hopefully i can squeeze in a visit to the new museum they recently opened

    THIS.

Took me a lot of losing to learn these sort of things, but flat betting really is the key IMO to winning long-term and/or short-term. You might hit a big bet, but too many times it happens like this where one bet costs you a couple weeks worth of winning picks. Sure you will bounce back.

Scudetto party would of been awesome, I might try and go tot that next year (assuming we dont have an epic fail rest of the season we should win the league comfortably this season!).

yeah i will defo go again this year assuming we win the league again, but i don't think it will be anything like last season considering what we had to go through, still could be big considering we've done it without the presence of Conte for half the season

Im similar to Andy, I much preferred watching Football Italia back in the day when it was on Channel 4 over here (main terrestrial channel) then I did Prem football. Something about Italian football that always interested me a lot more than Premier league...and I much preferred the atmosphere in the Delle Alpi than I did at Highbury or Old Trafford. Juve are a true family club (Agnelli's and Fiat) and stuck with their roots while all these English teams just have foreign owners and no loyalty. And you don't really get true loyal and respectable Pro's like Del Piero, Buffon, Cannavaro, Chiellini, Ciro Ferrara, Pavel Nedved in the Prem. Closest thing in Prem are scumbags like Gerrard, Giggs and John Terry!

i've always been fascinated with the ultras culture that you don't see in england, the atmosphere and coreography they bring to games are brilliant, i've never been keen on this whole kick and rush english style of football, at least in Italy it is largely about tactics and technical abilities, i find it funny that it took the english up untill the summer's european championships to finally discover Pirlo and his abilities, Something Italy have been well aware of for years.

Yep exactly, spot on. The whole drama in Italian football also always appealed to me more...like you dont get crazy outspoken characters like Zamparini or Zeman really in English football! Yeah and further to what u said about Pirlo, its really true that English have no idea about the quality players in Italian football - especially in comparison to Spanish football (partly because of Skysports having La Liga). Like a lot of my buddies wouldnt know who likes of Vidal, Chiellini, Asamoah, Giovinco even are if I mentioned them! But English are also caught up in the whole "Italians just dive and play defensive football"! which couldn't be farther from the truth. Im pretty sure Italian league is in top 3 in Europe along with Bundesliga and probably Prem for most goals scored. Pretty much watch any Roma, Juve, Genoa, Lazio, Napoli game and you're gonna see goals. And diving happens just as much in any other league in Europe now

I agree. I lost a good bit to but it was on a bet that I decided to make. Everyone here knows that there are no guarantees when gambling. Seaweed has had a decent record but missed the bet. Let's all move on.

    Looking only at this season:

Premier - 2.97 Goals per game
    Bundesliga - 2.90 GPG
    La Liga - 2.86 GPG
    Serie A - 2.5 GPG

In your defense, scoring certainly seems below average this year in Serie A....but I wouldn't be too fast to tout the offensive prowess of Serie A as a whole anytime soon....

It doesn't matter his record everyone has bad days and we loose it's called gambling. Its the bets like Honduras that pay of I didn't tail on this Croatian pick but some of his picks are in fact solid it was just bad luck.

ha yeah, 2.5 is still pretty good when most people think Italian games are usually 1-0 or 0-0! And La Liga is only high because about 80% of those goals are Real Madrid and Barcelona who score like 3.5 on average every game ust on their own!

Why do threads like this get soo many hits. The analysis was amateur at best and the poster previously lost this bet.

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/players-ta...re-sbr-p4.html

Yet there are 10x more views of this thread than other threads that contain the comments from actual winning bettors who quietly post well studied and intelligently informed picks.

Is it the screaming about idiotic br management principles, inflated $ amounts, locks of the year, biggest bet of lifetime etc. that attracts the views? People who bet much more than this kid, generally never mention unit size.

Jealous of whom? I just find it is an interesting phenomena. I am perplexed at people's stupidity nothing else. Read the guys analysis, it is pathetic.

I definitely have nothing to be jealous of in the handicapping or dick size department, thanks for your concern. I could care less about my post views, I post in waves, and literally go 3-4 months with 5 posts, so no concern on that end.

If I wanted post views I would use hyperbole, reveal how much I actually bet on games, and make sure I post every one my +EV plays, I do neither. I merely comment on games other people bring up in their personal threads, I never start threads.
