    why the hell do nfl teams kickoff after scoring?

    So whatever team scores a td... commercial break... kickoff the ball into the stands...commercial break... back to action... impossible sport to watch without a good wager

    I wish we could all agree to DVR and skip the commercials, halftime circle jerking, and replays. Makes it much more watchable. Unfortunately, I'm guessing most of you JJ wannabe's watch the games on your mom's 13" b&w tv using a stolen cable feed.

    College is getting bad too

    Yesterday in A&M game, there was a timeout, commercial, then Florida scored, but it was under review, so when they were reviewing it went to commercial, came back from commercial and TD was good, so extra point and commercial, came back to the game, kickoff, commercial, then the 1st quarter ended on the 1st or 2nd play after that, commercial

    What can we do about it? We could start a facebook page and get millions of people to join and agree to boycott any companies advertising after kickoffs maybe? I know we can't have it commercial free but it is getting ridiculous.

    During the recent NRL (Australian Rugby League) TV rights negotiations the TV networks were trying to negotiate on the grounds that Rugby League does not lend itself well to being chopped up to the shit with advertisements. Pisses me off that the game gets taken over by ads.

    Op, I know it drives me up the wall...It's gotten to the point that football has dropped way down on my preferred sports to watch now...It's ridiculous....

    Hard to watch without a wager, or your fav team - even then it's still hard....

    My fav team is Buffalo...I tried watching today but between all the commercials and the terrible play by the Bills I fell asleep in the first quarter and didn't wake up till half time

    If you timed an NFL game with a stop watch and only ran it when the ball is snapped to the time the whistle blows you would find out that there is about 7 Minutes of real play in an entire NFL game.

    ESPN Monday night football is the WORST for this. they have more commercial breaks than any average sunday game and makes the games almost unwatchable.

    These ppl still dont get the NFL is no longer about sports its about the entertainment business, all the old players that got knocked out and their legs broken are suing the NFL for not telling them it was a dangerous game so now the NFL has changed the rules to make it "safer" (insure their investments dont get injured).

    Hell a QB practically has to tackle himself to not draw a flag in today's game why do you think the scores are like 40-20 instead of 14-10 like they were three years ago, its bc the teams that run the ball cant win anymore when a guy like Brady can stand there for 10 seconds and wait for a receiver to get wide open that cant be hit until hes secured the ball.
