What to say to a new local when you just beat him?
I just started playing with a new local, and week 1 beat him for 1k. We are settling today.
Over the course of this week, I also couldn't lose, and have beat him for another 1k for next week.
Don't want to lose the local, but not sure how happy he's going to be to book my action from here on out. Anything I should say to make him want to keep booking me? Place a bet on the local NFL team and the over?

If he can't handle losing a few k, then he has no business booking. If he even makes a comment... be more worried about using him in the future (and getting paid) then anything else.

only thing i hate is when my local is like x team killed me like hes taking a bath every week.
other guys are right though there shouldnt be really any conversation, when there is, its always the most awkward small talk imaginable.

Son, if its a local bookie, the only way he continues booking your action over the long term is if hes up. So unless you plan on losing to him, dont expect to keep him.
Ive played the games before and tried to book square plays and parlays and none of it accomplishes anything.
So get what you can while you can and fukk the rest.
And tell him youre just happy to be betting games again b/c you just got out of the pen for attempted vehicular homicide. But your meds are working now and you feel better. He'll think your crazy and not afraid to kill anf he'll be less likely to stiff your punkass.
if u get booted for popping a couple measly bets for 2k the guy shouldn't even call himself a bookie

The only way you can beat him is take your winnings and run NOW because if you keep betting you will give that 2K back and then some....and he knows this!!!

i highly doubt he'll mind. just say "must be beginners luck" if u absolutely feel like u have to say something. but really its all business. this is how the business works. shouldn't feel ashamed of winning.

I doubt he's worried about a 1k payout. If he is, he shouldnt be doing this. If he thinks ur on a heater, he might just lay some of ur bets (if they are big amounts) off somewhere else. As long as he pays, don't change a thing
