How come all the famously sharp gamblers use 'math models' successfully but yours doesn't do anything wanty?

OK whatever, as usual guys make statements no info to back it up other than what stupid people have been told.
Fezzik was a genius too, guy won 2 hilton contests back to back, EVERYONE bought in that he had some secret formula, fast forward a few years later and he bankrupted more guys than Fannie Mae.
He was one of the originals back in the day also trying to sell his snake oil, he sounded smart (to the average retard) and he had some 'success' that was dubious at best. But he did do well in contests and free radio shows here and there. But when it came, and comes to betting in the here and now he gets buried over and over again.
He was one of the first guys to tout a model and call sports betting a market. Once he actually tried to prove it out with full disclosure he got killed.
So he tweaked his model (makes sense to some) guess what... did even worse. He would have almost made money fading it, thats how bad it was.
So when I see guy after guy after guy who tries to post plays based on some magic formula and continues to fail time and time again I will take that as all I need to know. Certainly more than someone who has never ever made any sort of statement that can be etsted or proofed out.
Like I said post a single bit of something anything. Not a play or an opinion but something that is verifiable or something that can be tested.

Do you not understand that someone posting their model would be 100% counterproductive? If someone has a good model, the only way for it to have any chance of winning going forward is if it remains private. Once others (be they oddsmakers or other bettors) have access to your methods, your edge will quickly become zero. Originally Posted by wantitall4moi

He had on Big Al McMordie a few months ago and rather than ask Big Al serious questions (e.g. Do you bet your own plays) he let Big Al talk about how much he enjoys watching the San Antonio Spurs and how they would destroy OKC in the playoffs.
Millman's interviewing skills are pure garbage and he should not be interviewing anyone. To be fair, his book "The Odds" is excellent and I highly recommend it.

Seriously if these guys had models that were THAT good they wouldnt be working or making videos for some website, or trying to sell books, or trying (and failing) to go tout. They would BET these plays. THAT is the ultimate 'proof' that guys who claim to be able to win aren't really winning because they dont have the fruits of this so called knowledge.
I myself do. Whether or not people believe it doesnt matter. But I know what I have and how I got it.
But I have also been around since the mid 90s. Even if some guys werent around back then I was posting on the RX the day it opened. Covers the day that one opened, madjacks, major wager , bobby Bs and a lot of the older places that were around back then. Never made aliases or ghosts and have had this same name since I started posting. Not many can make that claim. Because most guys kill themselves with stupidity or controversial stuff or they out and out steal money from suckers and have to change their moniker to feed their need to post. I am not some guy coming out of no where making claims with absolutely zero credibility.
That is the irony. I say things that these so called 'sharps' all laugh at and dismiss, but I could buy and sell all of them combined I would wager with money I made gambling. So IMO even if I am not sharp, I still am better at gambling than guys that think they are. At least better at making money. Which in the end is all that matters.
Last comment on this, I made a simple 'system' when I was in prison that I have continued to track over the past few years. It is actually better than most would think as it has only had one losing single on the parameters it outlines since 1997. It is semi math based. So I suppose I could claim it was a model and it worked. It would also more than likely pass a 'test' (for most degenerates) if I was asked to provide some anecdotal 'evidence' of its validity.
I might make a season long posting of the 'predictions' just for shits and giggles. Last time I did it was on Covers and it was pretty impressive. Thing about posting plays those is no one really follow them. They might use them to help build confidence in their play if they agree, but not many people are going to blindly follow anyone no matter how sharp or smart they think they are. So posting plays for the most part is a no win situation. because if it wins no one bet it on your say so. If it loses then guys come out of the wood work to laugh at you.
Like I have always said, no one cares what you think, even when they ask you. They just want confirmation on a team they like or a reason to argue with you why you are wrong.
