I've just recently realized why you say that bases is the easiest sport to make money. You've given me some good help with the team totals and alt RL theories but line movement really is huge in baseball. Took a few licks earlier in the summer but have been raking it in lately.


As for nfl, just about everyone takes a beating and I think a big part of that is because it all leads up to one day when there's 12+ games being played so people end up betting way too many games.

Some people do make out very well with NFL and CFB. I don't understand how anyone makes money on hockey or MLB though. I always get murdered on those sports. NBA is tough too, but it isn't as bad as hockey or MLB for me.

I actually do pretty well in football, and it can be beat if you know and follow the game well enough and research all around the league and college teams throughout the week.....It's not really "work" for me because I genuinely have a huge interest in keeping up with everything throughout the week

lakers right. most guys will be bust in a month. i always get amused when guys i know are like "im saving for football" "cant wait for cbb" etc., when they havent had a winning season ever. personally i bet on european football a lot, and ncaa sports. just seem to do better at these sports. ill also have some bets in mlb, nfl, nhl, and probably a decent amount of nba (also a sport i do decent at).

I doubt lakerboy is a professional gambler (but who knows) But it seems he does take this whole gambling thing pretty damn serious. So why would a guy like him go into something knowing he's going to lose money?

I don't depend on gambling to pay my bills, I have a job for that. But I'm also not looking to just hand over money and receive nothing in return. I don't understand why anyone would go into something, and expect to lose money and get nothing in return...Then again I didn't go to college so maybe I never learned the benefit of that.

Going to a concert, buying movie tickets, going a fireworks show, paying to see standup comedy, etc... those are all foms of entertainment. But in order to receive the entertainement you have to pay. Many look to gambling in order to entertain them. What do they receive? Emotional swings, drama, and so on. Nevertheless like the examples above you need to wager money in order to experience those feelings.

I understand what you're saying above, though I don't agree...But then why would a guy be saying "I suck at MLB, I can't wait for for NFL to get here, so I can bet some real money" Which was the point of this thread. A guy looking for a "rush" wouldn't care if it's MLB, NBA, NFL......
