Big Games = Big Plays? Not Always..
I like to talk about big games tonight. Yeah, I'm talking about Superbowl and Champions League (Soccer) Final. Big Games!
It's tempting to bet on a big event, isn't it? But why?
One of the reasons is Empathy..
Bettors enjoy betting on big games because they love being the part of the action..on a big event. You're not Real Madrid's coach. You don't have any relationship with Lebron James..but when you placed your bet..you become a part/player of the team. You're motivated for victory as much as them..
Barcelona is playing versus Chelsea..no fun if you don't have a bet..And it's a BIG Game. You feel like you must bet BIG on a BIG game, isn't it? I'm sure %99 of bettors won't be satisfied with a 100$ wager on a big game. You want to risk more, you want to win more..
But it's wrong..
Actually, you must bet "less" on a big game. If it's a BIG game, then it's a BIG game for a reason! These games can be too unpredictable sometimes..and hard to find value!
Remember, bookie limits are always much higher on BIG games..
You may feel like you must bet big on a big game..but it isn't. Avoid betting on a game because it's on TV. If you don't have an edge, then don't bet..just pass..There will be more games tomorrow.
If still you want some action..then don't bet so big. My philosophy is..Every play, alone is very unimportant. If you're feeling angry after losing a bet; it means you're doing something wrong. You're overbetting probably..
Remember the Golden Rule..
Never bet more then you can afford to lose..
You may feel too much pain/stress when you bet BIG on one game. It sucks when your 1* Unit plays go 5-0 but your Pick Of The Month/Big Play lost..
When you bet same/or similiar amount(s) on each game, you don't care about losses too much..since alone, every play is unimportant. Losing one bet means nothing. You may lose one bet, you may lose 5 games in a row. It doesn't matter. If you're "+" over the long haul, then no problem.
