id like to see one more bat myself.
im goin sunday first game for me this year (burnett v lincecum).
i do remember an easy home stretch last year at the beginning of august when the bottom fell out for lack of a better word, but i really feel like this team is much better this season and it wont happen again.

yeah, lasdty year they got two bats.
it didnt help becasue thir pitching stop over achieving and everyone hurt their arms wracking up so many injuries so fast.
I think they will be aggressively trying to upgrade at SS, 1B, C and maybe another starter. Not a ton of players out there this year though...

thats what i heard during the game today. i just checked and those idiots must have been talking about recently but didnt state it. def not for the whole year, my bad. getting carried away, im not used to the pirates scoring so damn much

Pirates to or winning the series is a little premature. Too much baseball left for a team who isn't used to winning.
I think last year's swoon started the day I left for vacation... around July 30
this year I leave for vacation on thursday july 27.
I fully expect them to only win 2-3 times whil i'm gone for 3 weeks...
but hell if Bedard keeps pitching like he has the last two outings,..... look out!
