Would you ever stay at Circus Circus?

Just curious. Every time I drive by Circus Circus or see it from a distance I wonder what kind of people stay there.

As for me, no. I'd rather spend an extra $10 or so and get a better room on a budget such as Flamingo or Luxor.

    You have been there? When?

To clarify, I have never stepped foot inside Circus Circus. Just driven past it and seen it from the distance. So I have no idea whats under that tent.

Circus Circus stinks. The north part of the strip has gone to hell.Might get better if they redo the Sahara which is what they were talking about.Very old very crowded very tight in side the parking garage is old and outdated.I have never stayed there but went inside and visted CC for the first time in 10 years in Feb and that is what i saw a lot of gangbangers from LA were in there as well and extremly hot inside just awful hard to find your way around too stay far away from CC.

got my dick sucked by a crack whore behind an ice machine on the 5th floor at Circus Circus. lots of crazy shit goes on there

most of the guests are black. so it was me, a heavyset Hungarian guy, among a crowd of black people. thought I was on safari. all I needed was one of those African hunting caps and a whistle.... and I would've been on safari

i haven't been back to vegas in about 10 years, back then Circus Circus was the only casino with a 50 cent black jack table, if that tells you anything.

Not a chance in hell. Not even if you paid me (unless it's a significant amount).

Circus Circus is an epic disaster.

I would rather stay at the Vegabond.

I think the Wynn/Encore property gambled on the North strip getting a make over. The Fountain Blue was built and put windows on it, until the investors pulled out. And now it's just a really nice looking shell of a building. Another resort halted construction near by on the strip by industrial. Trump made his hotel right there, and they really made the space ship shopping center worth while again.

I believe there was a large plan to reinvent that side of the strip, but the economy tanked in the middle of it.

yea but wynn and encore really had no choice but to be built there

    where else would they go

only thing that sucks about staying there. i hate walking down to the bellagio area

too far north out of the fukkin way

you put wynn where bellagio is and its 3x the price for a room that it is now

lol.. there are plenty of places that are around the same price on the main part of the strip. Ballys is cheap, luxor is cheap, etc.. There is no reason to stay anywhere north of Caesars as far as I'm concerned.

Circus Circus is far from great, but people ITT are exaggerating. If you just want a cheap place to sleep for a few hours a night before heading out you could do a whole lot worse. They are probably the most generous MGM property for giving out free rooms.

The remodeled Riviera across the street is definitely a better option, though. In fact, if you're only in town to gamble, the Riv. is by far your best option on the strip. No commission baccarat, 1000X odds on craps, single 0 roulette, and generous comps. The Riviera is a throwback to old Vegas (minus the gangsters).

I was purely talking reno circus circus - cant imagine staying there in vegas and not being in the MGM thats just my spot/ luxor isnt bad if your cheap - they are in the thick of it and cheap (across the street from mgm)

If you're taking a cab once, twice or even more per day your trip is already -EV. Can easily rack up a couple hundred, at the end of the trip it'd be cheaper to have just gotten a room at Ballys or some shit.

No where north of Caesars? Mirage, TI, Wynn are all north of Caesars, anything past Encore and then you'll see the disadvantages of the cheaper north places.

i have 6 free nights and 200 food dollars from boyd gaming/b-connected that expires in september, just wondering if worth taking a trip out there to use it. i know one of those (cant remember which) is off to the west kinda more in the palms/rio area

I stayed at Circus once. My room was in "The Manor"... I had to take their little monorail shuttle from the main building to get to the place. It was terrible being so far from the table games and the restaurants. Never again...

Haven't stayed at, but I rather enjoy The Orleans, their poker is top notch. It's a big resort for being right off the strip. If I remember right, you shouldn't walk it from there to the strip though. One advice I give anyone, especially if they stay off the strip, RENT A CAR. It is worlds cheaper than having to rely of taxis, plus it gives you added incentive to go more places than you would otherwise; downtown, Rio, Palms ect ect. Besides, the feeling of driving the strip at night with all the lights is worth the price alone, especially if you start south at South Point (an OK resort in itself) and drive into the lights.
