    it is because he has to do it all himself. any team he is on is not built to setup melo for success, he has to do it on his own. lin might be the answer if he can play at the same level he did this season.

    Kobe plays much better defense and is much more clutch late in games. Melo will always be talented offensively, but he is also inefficient offensively. He forces too many low percentage shots. While he makes way more of these shots than most players, he ultimately shoots too many tightly contested shots that reduce his shooting % and offensive efficency. Not to mention he does nothing to integrate himself with the 4 other players on the court to synergistically improve everyone's output/opportunities.

    Melo should be able to keep his guy off the boards and hold him under 15 points and grab some rebounds on the defensive end. As much as he had the ball in his hands, is it too much to ask for 5 assist per game?

    is kobe more clutch? sure. better defender? maybe so.
    everything else, u can copy and paste onto negatives about kobe

    wats the main difference? look at who has been on kobes teams and his coaches
    look at how kobe played those couple years when he had no1 to play with
    not much of a difference at all

    Overall i thought melo's playoff performance was surprisingly good.. Hard to beat the heat when you've got jr smith, landry fields, bibby, and a bunch of other jokers playing with you. All melo needs is a good point guard who can also create his own shots..

    He also needs to wake the fukk up and lower his $$$ tag..
