    depends on your interests, income, etc. do you want to be near the beach, mountains, big city? what kind of amenities , etc. latin america is not so cheap anymore so that's a big factor for some people.

    I have a couple of friends that bought places in Panama and later the government took them away. It's probably not the norm, but it's something to think about if you are purchasing.

    I'm in Puerto Penasco and it's nice here but to cross at Nogales i have to "donate" to the Army and ride with the convoy through Sonora because it is to dangerous to drive on your own
