Yeah, there's a little too much overreaction in here. If you're going to jump over someone to dunk the ball, your weak hand is going to be used for balance, typically off the person you're dunking over. You can't really call a foul on Blake for Gasol running into his arm. I mean the dude ran into Blake on that dunk. Watch it back. Blake goes to put his hand on Gasol's head and Gasol JUMPS into him. It was clearly a foul on Gasol, and it just so happened his face was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Blake is the best dunker in the NBA. Period. Why should he resort to jump shots when he does something so well. Don't see everyone bitchin' about Kobe's turnaround jumpers all game instead of "being versatile". Players stick to what they're good at. Sports are entertainment, and it's clearly evident in that video how much the fans love Griffin putting bitches in posters. Leave it be and enjoy it.

Using off arm to clear defender for anything, even balance for a dunk, is a offensive foul. Period.

Gasol is going for ball, and probably would of fouled Blake with body, but Blake should of got called for a offensive foul when throwing the arm out there like that.

    Refs blew that call.

Agreed. I recently got pissed after a game and bitched to NBA.com about their officials and brought up 2002 Game 6

Why does everyone hate Blake Griffin?

I'm a Clippers fan. Help me understand.

If it's because he cries so much, that's only natural, the guy gets abused the most, too.

I wanted to like him. I really did. Was hoping he met all the expectations.

But just the way he stands over Gasol there, totally classless. This is one play, in one game, that likely should have been called an offensive foul, while his team was losing.

For me it is because he cries a lot AND acts like a god-damn soccer player on the court. I've never seen a guy his size go flying at the very though of another player running into him. Too theatrical.

Why are you blaming him, these actions happened in the course of milliseconds. Do you really believe he was coherently conscious of that move knowing it could be called offensive foul in some sort of "classless act"? When you go up for a one handed dunk your other arm is coming down to help force momentum. Everyone's silly for thinking it was totally coherant. Blame the officials. Blaming Griffin is just laughable.

Have you watched the games and see how hard they run into him when he's driving full force to slam? No one questions the falls, not even the announcers in other cities who comment on how hard he was hit, just SBR posters. He cries no more than any other player who gets called on. Thats like saying Gasol cries here.

He cries because of the abuse. Nobody in the league gets pounded harder than him.

He isn't crying like a superstar expecting calls, IE: Kobe. Griffin takes an absolute beating, every game.

Maybe once he figures out how to make free throws he won't get leveled as often. That would be nice.

The classless act is standing over the guy you think you dunked on. He is a child. He is lame. He is the type of player that little kids like because they dont know any better.

I think a lot of this is opinion, not set in stone facts.

Giant you love Griffin; you said that already.

Griffin is very popular - Subway commercials and those weird car commercials.

Don't compare Griffin to Kobe, Jordan, Bird, or Magic in any sense.

Thats a deflection. Nobody is comparing talent here and you know that. The comparisons lie in their reactions as this thread is about.

Think some of it has to do with earning respect. Same attitude alot of young guys in the NBA have, and it is usually detrimental.

Ok champ, let me put it this way: In my opinion I think Griffin cries and lot to the refs --especially since this is only his second year in the league.

My opinion is no more or less correct then your ghosted opinion.

I can understand that, if these were ticky-tacky fouls he was whining about. But I'm telling you, this guy gets mugged on a nightly basis, and usually doesn't receive any calls.

So Griffin is 6'10...insane vert and athleticism...yet blocks 0.7 shots per game? Explain that one.

    Lousy defender.

That's why he's going to get dealt for Dwight Howard in the off-season.

As a rookie Griffin got a ton of calls, so are things different this year?
